#8 Furman beat Mercer decisively. One thing that stood out on scoreboard: #23 Western Carolina rolled Charleston Southern 77-21, the same team that #5 W&M managed to beat 15-7. That Western Carolina win is probably going to loom pretty large for us. That Yale loss today definitely hurts us, but in theory the voters should be putting us above W&M by now. That said, if we roll past everybody easily and just beat Fordham and BC, I'm hopeful we can at least avoid an #8 seed and SDSU in the quarters. I do think us losing that BC game probably costs us a top 4 seed without some help though. that's why they play the games. A win at Army will help a bit. See how the Dakota Marker as well as MSU games go!

BC got hammered. The situation at the Heights really concerns me due to its potential impact on HC. At first glance, the rest of their schedule doesn’t seem really daunting but who knows especially if they don’t beat 0-4 Virginia next Saturday.

In case you missed this
In the final seconds, the Buckeyes pounded the winning touchdown in from 1 yard out — right into the spot where Notre Dame’s 11th defender probably should’ve been. The Irish had only 10 dudes on the field for that play and the previous snap. Playing defense on hardcore mode

Saw the play on NBC...never counted the number of defenders...OUCH! The Fighting Irish looked tough, but certainly not tough enough to spot an extra man to the opponent.

Assuming he faked the kneel down, that's a b.s. play that's illegal in pro and should be illegal everywhere. It puts the defenders in a lose-lose situation. If you play it as a kneel down you might get burned. If it is a kneel down and a LB plays it live, knifes through, and blows up the QB it's a flag and maybe an ejection.
Take a look, don't find this the type of play you'd want to outlaw. If part of the qbs movements included kneeling or starting to kneel, I'd be more inclined to say it was a bush league move. Agree that should be legal. He didn't fake the knee.

Agree completely regarding the game versus VA. This summer a couple of pundits predicted W&M might beat VA.

Merrimack doing is no favors losing to Wagner.

Bill & Mary coach Mike London is the former coach of the Wahoos. (During a very down time in UVA football). The Tribe defense is legit and will give the Wahoos headaches but if the W&M RB is out, I expect UVA to win a close one. Virginia should pull out a close one against BC but as it is at Alumni and they do have some dudes on the line, I'd go BC. Merrimack losing to Wagner is brutal. But I guess I just group them in with the PL teams on the schedule (aside from the Rams). Laffy could present a little challenge defensively but after last year it should be a leave no doubt game.

Merrimack doing is no favors losing to Wagner. No reason to ever play them again- I know a broken record PL games plus 2 CAA, 1 Ivy, 2FBS- 1 regional 1 national SOS is better
