I think HC and Fordham are the only PL schools aggressively scheduling an FBS game every year moving forward Fordham just inked Coastal Carolina for '26 so their announcement includes this: "Next fall, the Rams will open the 2024 season with a Week 1 matchup at Bowling Green before playing at Boston College in 2025. After traveling to Coastal Carolina in 2026, the Rams also have games on the schedule against FBS opponents Syracuse (2027) and Hawaii (2028)".

Colgate has upcoming games with Akron (2024), Central Michigan (2026), Colorado (2027) and Kansas (2029), with a 2025 game pending.
Lafayette has Buffalo (2024), Bowling Green and Army (2025), UConn (2026) and Akron (2028).
Lehigh is supposed to be working on some deals, but nothing announced.
Georgetown, no takers.

There is some kid in the eighth grade heading back to the weight room hoping to make the travel squad to Manoa five years from now.

I would love to see the Crusaders playing in Hawaii and have a strong suspicion so would the players and coaching staffs and their families. And, maybe even the administrators might feel they needed to accompany the team on such a trip.😂

In 2003 we played at San Diego and FIU. Two fun trips for the parents. Maybe not quite as much fun as going to Hawaii but it cost us a lot less.

When you need an extra week off you get an extra game, but I can see the need for an extra week of revenue to help finance the trip.

In 2003 both San Diego and FIU were FCS so I doubt they were pay games. Hawaii would definitely be a pay game for the team but it would cost parents a bundle to go.
EDIT: And if my memory isn't failing me I think Don Strock was the FIU coach.

Correct about Strock. I think Jim Harbaugh was the San Diego coach when HC went there.

Suspect a trip to Hawaii would cost less than a trip to Frisco, TX.😊

As I understand it Georgetown still does not offer scholarships - only need based aid so any win a FBS school would have against Georgetown does not count toward bowl eligibility There is not much to be gained for an FBS school to play Georgetown.

I’d like more clarity on this. My understanding is that if the amount of need based aid is equivalent or greater than 63 scholarships, the game could count toward bowl eligibility. Am I wrong about this? I remember Syracuse playing Colgate a few years prior to the PL allowing scholarships. I seem to remember an announcer saying the game was a “counter” for Syracuse because of the amount of aid Colgate gave. Last point - DFW and PP can (and will) correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the amount of aid Georgetown offers in football is actually greater than the value of 63 scholarships.

Yup, no different than how it was for the rest of the PL until about 2016. And the NEC as well until around that time as well.
