Tough day both at Fitton and here as 11 people went o for which unofficially is a Pick ;em record. This season seems to be the toughest in memory, which at least makes things interesting here. Seven people went 2-1 (cardman, nycru2010, hcpride, inhocgigno, rgs, chuchu and ignatius) and can join me on Arthur Avenue for a post-game dinner after we beat Fordham Saturday. We have a new leader in nycru2010. Just three games this week, all PL tilts as the Engineers rest up'
Week 9: (all games Sat,)
Lafayette @ Georgetown Bucknell @ Colgate Holy Cross @ Fordham
Standings:

ND, I don’t think Laffy needs to win out. They can lose one and still be champs as they would have the tie-breaker against us.

I did see Lafayette winning a close one, BUT this contest is just a game and my fandom backing HC is more important to me than that. Lafayette Colgate Holy Cross

If we finish the season with a 5-1 conference mark, the only other team that can have only one loss would be Lafayette, and they own the tie-breaker over us.

You are right, if we beat GU they won't be part of a three way one loss tie. So Laffy has to lose twice. Which isn't likely but is possible

Yes, and I don't think a three way tie with one loss is possible right now. If Lafayette loses to Georgetown and we win out, Georgetown will have two losses since we will have beaten them. And the. HC and Lafayette would both be 5-1 fo-champs but with Leopards winning auto. We're in the awkward position of rooting for Lafayette to lose twice but to be sure that if they're not going to lose 2, they better win out. Lafayette losing only once hurts us the most because they still would get the auto bid but also would hurt our SOS.

ND, I don’t think Laffy needs to win out. They can lose one and still be champs as they would have the tie-breaker against us. I want them to win out (as well as every other team we have played) so our wins and, especially, losses look more impressive and that would improve our chances for an at large bid. Yes, I am conceding the PL auto bid to them.

Georgetown (more desire and hope, than actual Colgate Holy Cross (will be tough game the way our defense is playing; loss here makes season a bust, but I believe HCBC lead us to victory)

Georgetown - First time ever wanting a G'town team to win something.
Colgate - It's at home and it's Bucknell.
Holy Cross - The next time I pick against the Crusaders will be the first time I pick against the Crusaders.
