In the snow, Montana thumps Delaware by 30: 49-19. Up 49-12 with 6:36 remaining in the 3rd, Montana appeared to call off the dogs. Next up for the Grizzlies, Furman. Another night game in December in Montana. Snow in the forecast. (Montana beat Montana state 37-7). Hate to say it but I think Furman has not shot if the forecasted conditions remain the same. Last year W&M faced a similar scenario, but with an even later 9pm MT kickoff, and got steamrolled 55-7. Southern team playing in single digit temps, deafening crowd in a packed house, icy field. Total train-wreck. You knew the game was over the moment the Tribe return man slipped while fielding the opening kickoff.

It's kind of funny in a way that Reichwein is going to Brookings, SD for the 3rd time in 4 years...my guess is he will nevah return there the rest of his life. (No offense...it looks like a charming college town.....but life being what it is etc)

It's kind of funny in a way that Reichert is going to Brookings, SD for the 3rd time in 4 years...my guess is he will nevah return there the rest of his life. (No offense...it looks like a charming college town.....but life being what it is etc) If Villanova wins, we can point to his experience against the Rabbits as reason why! Crazy how when it comes to star skill players on offense, it's many of the same players from all the way back to 2020. And I'm pretty sure their QB Gronowski still has another year. And if we'd completed the comeback against Villanova in 2021, we would have been in Brookings another time. The Jacks beat Nova in Philly the following week. While I very much enjoyed my trip to Brookings, I wouldn't call it a "charming" college town. More like a typical small town for that region that happens to have a small state university in it. Kind of like what you'd imagine an average campaign stop in the Iowa primary run-up would look like. The school was very "functional" looking, like what a typical community college would look like here. Nothing wrong with that and not trying to knock Brookings at all. The people were great and at that time (spring 2021), it was nice to be somewhere where you didn't have to worry about all the COVID rules that were going on out here. People had definitely "moved on" from the pandemic by that time out there, whereas here it was still another 9-10 months of mandate roulette. Definitely a solid stretch of pre-game bars on the small, main strip in Brookings. Despite the restricted game attendance, these were full and rowdy before the game. Whoever owns the local McDonald's franchise must be popular around town, because the breakfast drive thru line was the longest I've seen in a long time. Bozeman, MT though -- THAT was a great college town to visit. I went for the W&M-Montana State game last year with my dad. Highly recommend although according to locals its expanding too fast now and getting super touristy in the summer due to proximity to Yellowstone which is about 80 miles away.

To add to that, he has played at Lehigh 4 times. 3 with Holy Cross and 1 with Villanova. Won all 4 games. Fall 2019 Spring 2021 Fall 2021 Fall 2023

My apologies as I got an email soliciting tickets for FCS playoffs and showed only 1/2 the remaining bracket and I lost track of who’s in and who’s out since a certain school from Worcester never got in. 🤷♂️

I was watching some of the Idaho - SIU game over the weekend and I heard the announcer talk about a "7th year senior" and an "8th year senior." How can this be? I'm pretty sure the name Blutarsky wasn't mentioned.

Furman ties Montana with 13 seconds to go on a 4th down TD pass --QB had a defender draped all over him. Looking like OT.

Was impressed with Furman and their frosh qb - I think they beat Montana on a neutral field - the only reason they had to travel for this quarterfinal is their loss to Wofford the last weekend of the season

Furman QB Tyler Huff is a 5th year grad Senior. Not sure where you got freshman. Outstanding game. ST’s won it for Montana. Looking forward to watching Nova v. SDSU (LFG Reich) and Albany at Idaho tonight.

This season has just made me more annoyed at our seeding from last year. I get why we missed out this year, even if I feel we would have beaten a lot of bubble teams, but us being an #8 seed last year just feels worse and worse as time goes on.

Even a win over BC or Army probably doesn't get us a seed this year if we still had the LC and H losses on our resume and no home game today.
If we had gone 10-1 with only an FBS loss we are probably a #5-8 seed....11-0, a #2-4 seed....reigning champs SDSU are probably still the 1 seed.

The Montana game was bonkers. Credit to the Furman defense. Some critical 3 and outs especially late in the game.
Hoping Reich has a good game today!

A ice cold 25 degrees + VERY windy at SDS. Can’t imagine how much passing we’ll see from Nova and SDS.

We had a pretty nice day out there last year weather-wise, no?
This may be quite the defensive battle given the conditions.....Rabbits 3-0 after 1

Villanova-SDS. FWIW. Announcer said: Villanova is an"old team" with 5th & 6th year seniors & graduate student players. Thank God this will never happen at HC. Why? Are they not students? Are they breaking the rules of the NCAA? If you are in your 6th year you went through hell as a college students for a year plus. They deserve an extra year to further their education.

The wind plus some good 3rd down stops keeping Nova in this. SDSU keeping up pressure. Looks like Montana on a Friday night had a larger crowd. But...the Jacks fans might be louder!
