Massey makes HC a 5 point favorite at Colgate on Thursday (64-59) at 7:00pm. Perhaps this will be the game that ends our 10 straight regular season PL losses. Colgate is 3-12 and 1-1 in PL play. They lost by 3 (67-64) in OT.

Didn't last night's win end the regular season PL loss streak?? Have we lost to Colgate 10 times in a row?

Looks like Colgate picked up real good one in Rayman. Karl Charles needs to pick up his play if we are going to be successful in the PL this season. Stopping the silly fouls would be a step in the right direction. To date he hasn't taken the anticipated step up from his freshman season.

To date he hasn't taken the anticipated step up from his freshman season. Agreed about the fouls, which are hurting the team - he needs to be on the court 30+ minutes. Offensively, he has improved his EFG, assists, steals, and turnovers over last year - making it even more imperative that he keeps himself in the game.

Expecting we'll see a lot of zone but even so I would like to see KC take it to the hole more, split the zone and draw fouls. He seems to be more in sync with the flow of the game when he does this, like a running back who needs a certain number of carries to really get into the flow.

Sometimes he uses it better on inside shots right at the rim, when he should dunk it.

Pomeroy has the game as a virtual toss-up; predicts a 59-58 HC victory.

Hate this game. They have beaten us soundly at their place three of the last four years.

Should be a rock fight...tiring bus trip after down to the wire game.... we will be tired but I suspect Coach will have them ready...not as big as the Navy game but an important game nonetheless

Colgate has been brutal to HC teams in Hamilton for a few years now. We need a good start and tight D but it can be done. Pretend it is the PL tournament.

Will the men perform better away than the women did at home? I hope so!

2-1 a lot better position to be in than 1-2 league-wise. KC, play defense with your feet first, eyes second, and hands last. And let's move the ball and attack the basket to open up the jay, which we should hit at a good clip. GO CROSS GO.

I've had an upset stomach all day thinking about a 3-2 zone...... Agreed. We couldn't seem to solve Navy's version, Need to get open corner looks, and/or quick passes back to the elbow. Hoops - what's the best way to attack it, iyho?

Yet another post that says we will be tired. Really? 20 year olds on school vacation who play basketball everyday of the year. Sheesh!

Hoops - what's the best way to attack it, iyho? I always coached the use of the "short corner' vs zone..The high low look, or the short corner skip to the top. or short corner to the high cutter...That short corner player is a key, IMHO..he is behind the zone and can see the whole floor...I'd love to see MH in the high post and MA on the baseline in the short corner, In the PO, the look seems to be more of getting into gaps and skipping the ball crosscourt..getting the zone to flex and then have to react to the pass...
