With Robbat, Vaganek, Cordova I think that rounds out the staff. I think you might see an additional asst secondary coach eventually too. Don't forget Gunnel as the Wide Receivers coach.

Brower made Springfield Central HS into a D1 powerhouse in MA. Personally I think this is a great get for more than coaching. Very well connected with MA HS coaches statewide. gks you are absolutely right. Valdamore Brower turned that Springfield Central team into a powerhouse in Mass. His connections throughout Mass are huge. You are going to see some dudes playing on that D line too. I'm guessing their will be new found pressure coming from our D line.

MA HS coaches? Gotta cast a much wider ne than MA.t to get high quality players, HC is a national college. Worry not-we will still have coaches assigned to every square mile of the country.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING ABOUT COACH DENECKE
Chris Smith, Holy Cross Offensive Coordinator: “Pat is a great coach who cares a lot about his players. He’s a teacher who is also always willing to learn. We’ve gone to clinics together many times, and I’ve always learned more by being with Pat. He wants to win and he will do whatever is necessary in terms of workload to be successful. He is a thorough and innovative recruiter and developer.”

A fresh set of eyes would undoubtedly look at our roster and see that we had utterly failed in our back yard of MA. While we punched above our weight in areas like northern NJ, FL, and TX, you can rest assured Coach Curran and others saw a big hole that needed to be filled in MA and until recently the DMV (2 areas where Coach Curran and staff have phenomenal long term relationships.) If you add MA, the DMV and sustain our efforts in those other areas (plus continue to build PA, OH, MI and IL), that’s the recipe for a deadly combination in building out a national powerhouse recruiting network.

Not only is he respected by the Mass coaches community but I've heard the Mass high school players who've met him really like him (want to play for him.) That's a big deal. I'm very impressed with the new staff. Coach Curran is off to a great start. The one take away about every single new coach, THEY ARE GREAT RECRUITERS!! Bodes well for the future.

Very exciting times indeed! Maybe I'm wrong, but these guys appear to have "better" experience than the coaches Ches brought in. Now I know what matters most is the ability of the person to coach and connect, but right out of the starting gate these guys appear to have more relevant resumes.

The ties to New England are clear for each of these coaches. Wonder if Dresner will be the OC....his experience seems to suggest so, but he's coming off of a rough Stony Brook experience.

Chesney put together one of the best staff's ever assembled at HC, and hands down best in the Patriot League. That's going to be tough to top but glad to see the optimism surrounding the new coach and staff. I think Kit did well with this one.

Agree about the Carter and Duffner staffs, no staffs have been as close since.

Add Kevin Coyle, Clyde Christiansen, Dan Dorazio, Peter McCarty and Cliff Schwenke to that list. And, of course, Dan Allen.

Duffner was a strong member of Carter’s staff for about five years before taking over following Rick’s death. Carter was as adept at staff selection as he was at recruiting. Quite a legacy.

Certainly a wide range of coaching experience from the JUCO level to high level FCS. Glad to see him get the promotion.

Does anyone have any info on why Scott James wasn't retained? Was it a HCDC decision, or was it James who nixed the idea of coming back?

UMass GA Jesse Monteiro added to the staff. Played at UMass and MA High school connections. Another intriguing hire to fill out the staff.

Seems like it's about time for an official announcement of the new coaching staff.
