Well, it was asked and I gave my opinion. It is only a guess based on my knowledge and I could be wrong. HC has a young team and BG has a long history at HC with a number of successes...even though this team looks bad right now. And, 8-8 is far better than 2-12. What makes it necessary for you to ask me to defend an opinion?

I think Carla's team would easily defeat HC this year.

IMO, when evaluating a coach on his/her record, the factors that should be (are) considered include:
* W-L record in recent years, OOC and Conference * Resources provided to the program compared to other league schools (more? / same? / less?) * Overall W-L record at the school * Injuries to key players? * Recruiting pipeline (potential loss of commitments) * Future direction / outlook for the program (Improved? / more of the same? worse?) * Strength of OOC schedule, and results ______________________ I compared the geographic distribution of HC's roster with those of Colgate, Lehigh, and Bucknell. All but one player on HC's roster is from the Northeast. For the other three schools, half or more are from outside the Northeast. Perhaps a recruiting emphasis that is confined almost exclusively to the Northeast is contributing to the team's poor record.

Lazy head coach. Too comfortable.

I deal with many coaches in the East-- to say BG is lazy is nuts.-- Watch him continue to coach when a game is obviously in the tank.-- He works extremely hard in all aspects--HC lost alot to graduation- points AND leadership.-- Yes, they're young and have struggled but 6 games were lost by a grand total of 15 points.-- This season might be rough but if he stays on-- the recruits he has lined up will make Lady Sader fans proud again.---- In the meantime, enjoy watching the premiere freshman in the PL in Lauren Manis.--- PS - To say a D3 program can compete in any D1 conference is ridiculous no matter how great that D3 coach in X and O's.

bkny- He may coach to the end of the game, but it's the quality of the coaching that I question. The proof is the play of the team. Your last sentence is awfully global.
