Just looked him up-Randy Trivers played in early 1990's and carried the ball 195 times for 660 yards and 2 touchdowns, He also caught 16 passes for 120 yards. Duffner brought him in, played one year for him, 3 for Vaas. Google him to see an assortment of photos, you'll see how short he is; one would have to say he did well to play college football.

I wonder if the volunteer football staff has ever gone back and created a registry for recruiting.
It would be a list of every player who played football for Holy Cross, with their current contact information, the current coach's name, and information about the school.
It might be helpful when meeting players of interest at the school. Then again it might be more work and offer little fruit.

Is he shorter than Ralph Lilore’s 5’6” ?

I haven't heard Ralph's name connected to HC in some years now. I remember hearing from the doubters when he came to HC. They had written him off because of his short stature. He was a consistent, solid runner (with a few receptions and kick returns) and was a solid blocker. He was head coach at Lyndhurst High School in NJ when he made the century club back in 1984.

I saw Dave at the Army game. In typical Dugan fashion, he was wearing a purple Holy Cross sweater from probably 1972. And I agree, if we’re going to be hitting the WCAC (Gonzaga’s conference) more often…would love to get him with Coach Curran. Guy bleeds purple. Tough as nails LB. The Gonzaga Coach, Randy Trivers, is a Holy Cross guy. He has already suggested that his OT, Xavier Rienzo, consider Holy Cross. Xavier is a rising junior and lettered as a freshman and started as a sophomore. Xavier is the grandson of former Georgetown AD Frank Rienzo. Randy Trivers, Head Coach Coach Trivers has been coaching football for 27 years, including 20 years as head coach of three different football programs. He was the first coach in the history of Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland, where in nine seasons he led the team to five Division Championships, three Regional Championships, and one State Championship. He was also the Head Coach at Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Florida, for four seasons where he led the team to four straight winning seasons, two state playoff appearances, and its first home playoff win and District Championship since 1969. In recent years, Coach Trivers has led the Eagles to a 63-23 record in eight seasons including back-to-back DCSAA State Championship Titles and the first WCAC Championship since 2002. Coach Trivers attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he played running back and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in African American Studies. After college, he earned a Masters degree in Education at the University of Maryland, College Park. A member of Gonzaga’s English Department, Trivers teaches Classic Literature and African American Literature. He and his wife, Amanda, have two sons, Rex and Rhys. While reviewing a video on You Tube, a couple of days ago, of this year’s Cherry Blossoms, I saw a young man wearing a sweatshirt with the HC shield. Upon doing some research, he was with the Gonzaga College High School Photography Club. I was pleasantly surprised to see the HC logo shield appear among the hundreds of people walking around the tidal basin in the morning of March 20, 2024.

For Breezy’s sake (who is always kind enough to aggregate the data from the recruiting threads), can we stop going deeper down the rabbit hole.
Yes I contributed by saying Dave Dugan would be a great recruiting asset for Coach Curran and Robbat . As it relates to 2025, the WCAC and the MIAA in the DMV will be crucial. Onto the next offers which should pick up post spring game.

Perhaps the first real stretch unless many of the FBS are non commits / PWOs. He'd beat out Graham as our top recruit all time, so I'm going to just assume he's out of our range. Would love to be wrong though.

Unfortunately it is the driver for the top ranked players. They rarely are as talented as they believe and when they sit we might get them on the rebound

Unfortunately it is the driver for the top ranked players. They rarely are as talented as they believe and when they sit we might get them on the rebound if his FBS offers are commitable this was way beyond our reach. It's good to see his "money sack" image, you need to let schools know exactly where you're coming from. It would be very awkward if he showed up for his OV and found out he was only being offered a free education.
