If BU wants to re-evaluate actions from 350 years ago and say that the building should no longer be named for the guy, so be it. It's your building. I think it's a stretch to say that if you don't do what I want, then you're not making me feel like I belong here. I think it was Sgt Hulka who first said "Lighten up, Francis" The part of the BU saga I liked is that the Myles Standish naming is not the result of Bay State pride, academic historical research, or a donation from a Boston Brahmin whose ancestors came over on the Mayflower. BU just bought a hotel and kept the name. Kind of like how the HoJo's overflow parking lot got it's name.
