Just have to win three in a row against PL teams which will make a four game win streak. HC pulled off a nine game win streak earlier in the season so it's entirely possible. Any post season tournament will most likely include stronger teams so might as well win these three against PL level teams.

‘Most likely include stronger teams’ ? Once again LS with an insightful post The PL winner should be in the playin game and I’d venture to say they’d be an underdog

HC may have an auto-bid to one or more secondary national post season tournaments if they get knocked out of the PLT. It's been mentioned that the WNIT didn't drop auto-bids when the NCAA owned NIT did, and the new NCAA owned women's national post season tournament hasn't invited any teams yet, so not sure if that has auto-bids for regular season winners who get knocked out of conference tournaments.
It would be interesting fodder for comments if an NBA/ABA or NFL/AFL type competition between two tournaments occurs. WNIT Selection Sunday is March 17 after the NCAA field has been selected. Interesting tidbit, the average ticket price for the Women's Final Four is $1147.55. This is not your Mother's Oldsmobile.

The Athletic has a weekly women’s bracket The most recent one of 3/5 had BU repping the PL as a 16 play in

If HC were to win a play-in game and lose the next game I assume the banner hanging in the rafters would read "2024 NCAA 1-1." Can't recall what the MBB 2016 NCAA banner says.

I think it would just say 2024 since all the other banners simply list the year.

These two links indicate the WNIT has positioned itself as the third post-season tournament behind the other two. Interesting that endeavors for and possibly mostly by women can be negotiated and resolved without conflict as opposed to the aggressive competition between the all male NBA, ABA, NFL, AFL.

So, HC WBB has an auto-bid to the WBIT in it's back pocket as it enters the PLT. Riches beyond imagination for most HC programs.

The WBIT selection "criteria " indicates it's top 4 seeds will be the 1st 4 teams out of the regular season D1 WBB NCAA tournament. ? Does that mean the 1st 4 NCAA teams that lose a NCCA Tournament game then get the top 4 seeds in the WBIT ? Or does it refer to the next 4 teams that missed out in the NCAA selection committee rankings. I presume it's the latter but find the wording a bit confusing .

I also am confused but think it should mean the last four bubble teams left out of the NCAA tournament.

As I read the selection process for the WBIT and the WNIT, if the women do not win the PL tournament, it appears that HC would have its choice of either the WBIT or WNIT as the PL’s regular season champ. Hopefully the HC women make it a moot point by winning the PL tournament title and going to the Big Dance.

this could be a useful site. However, using full season statistics makes them worthless, given how large the differences were in OOC schedules between various teams.

But part of me would rather make a run in the NIT tournament then be a 15 seed and play Maryland again.
