There seems to be something wrong with the bracket website. It seems to think a bunch of my picks were wrong. On the brighter side, I am in the top 14,600,000 brackets on ESPN Maybe I didn't hear this correctly but on ESPN they said that 22,000,000 brackets fell apart yesterday and that just 1,800 perfect brackets remain. im in 2,618th place. I guess 2,617 Oakland grads signed up for the ESPN pool!

Am I the only one who didn't know that Oakland University is in Michigan?

Am I the only one who didn't know that Oakland University is in Michigan? Maybe they need to put an outline of the state of Michigan on their court.

Heading into the 2nd round witz holds a slim lead over SaderFan Jr. Hoping to see more exciting games and upsets and fewer ugly games going forward.

SaderFan Jr. has skipped past witz to grab a slim lead in our standings heading into the Sweet 16. The weekend gave us a couple exciting games and a good number of blowouts. Is it just me, or do some of these games seem to drag on forever?

My apologies to all for my recent inattention to the Crossports Bracket Challenge progress and final results. Apparently, I've been distracted by a series of current events such as the earthquake, the eclipse, spring fever, the Red Sox home opener, Caitlin Clark, first round of golf this season, the pollen count, doing my taxes, and the usual random everyday happenstances of life. Anyway, it all came down to the Championship Game with ACTP, solidly in the lead with UConn as his pick, and HCNATION, within striking distance with Purdue as his choice. We all know the final score by now, so our 2024 Crossports Bracket Challenge Champion is ACTP with a bracket in the 99.1 percentile of all the 22.6 million ESPN entries! Congratulations ACTP!!!
Not to take anything away from ACTP's accomplishment, but I feel I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the winner of the other bracket group I was in was my five year old granddaughter - with a bracket in the 99.9 percentile. Trying to get a handle on what system she used to make her picks I discovered that she went primarily on the seedings, the schools' colors, and the sound of their name. When I said to her "what about the four factors, Pomeroy, Massey, and adjusted efficiency differentials" she just rolled her eyes and laughed. Food for thought for future picking.
Thanks to all who participated!

I enjoyed this (although for a few days I was told I had no account). Started in 2nd, dropped to 7th and finished in 4th in our group. Fun, as always. I am proud to say I finished in the top 3,000,000 nationally!

ACTP is the last person I would expect to pick UCONN to win anything.
Perhaps it was the good 'old emotional hedge!

Crosser, thanks for pulling this together. As you may have noticed some of my family participated in this so we had a bracket challenge within a bracket challenge. Lots of fun!
