Surprised this is not a home and home. It must have something to do with the Webster Bank schedule. 6 straight wins for the Saders, I expect at least 3, if not 4, points this weekend.
Holy Cross is (9-8-3, 6-5-3 AHC) and is Sacred Heart (7-13-2, 5-11-0 AHC). HC is in 6th and SHU is in 10th. Berrafato's numbers (2.77 GAA, .898 SV%) are less than stellar, which is a combination of his own play and questionable defence. Nonetheless, he played admirably against Niagara and won the goalie of the week award. Lopez is on fire and hopefully can continue his point streak. I'll be watching!

At the game. There are literally 150 people here. Beautiful arena. No fans.

Sad to hear that. Maybe they expect HC to win.

I am watching the game split-screen with the RIT @ AIC game. Looks like about 100 people at the AIC game also. Looks like a nice building with good in-game presentation, but it is in a borderline bad area in Springfield (if I remember correctly).

Our defence is giving up 2.77 a game at the moment and we are not scoring much more. Berrafato is good but we need him to be great. He would be fine on the 2006 team. His GAA is identical to our GA/G, but his save percentage is lousy. When I was on club at HC, we'd face 40-50 shots a game due to lousy defence and competitive opponents, but we would only be giving up 3-5 goals a game, for at least a .900 SV%. Seems like .900 is a universal dividing point between ok goaltending and below average goaltending

She gave him free tickets for tomorrow's game. Still 1-0 here. 12:39 left in second. Pretty flat on both sides.

Now 1-0 going into the third period. Not looking good right now.

We had some really good chances late second/early third. We're definitely controlling play. Just can't get one in. My daughter just asked if Holy Cross knows what the score is. She apparently thinks we need to play with a little more urgency. 13:13 left now.

Yes cru- Mass Mutal Ctr. is decent since they renovated a few years back, and yes- it's on the edge of bad newz in downtown Spfld. I liked muni rink The Olympia (in an industrial park across the river) better.

Too bad. Not one we should have lost.
92--Tell us about the hooking penalty that we took in OT. Necessary?

Too bad. Not one we should have lost. 92--Tell us about the hooking penalty that we took in OT. Necessary? Didn't see it. Daughter had to go (an "emergency") at the end of regulation so I missed the first minute of OT. I did see the game-winner. SHU played with a lot more urgency late in the game. They had more chances on our power play at the end of the third than we did. I've seen this team play three times this season and it looks like they just need a good, swift kick in the derrière sometimes. Berard is always very calm on the bench, which I think is generally good but hockey is an emotional game and I'd like to see him rip into some guys during a game when we're just going through the motions out there. Maybe he does it in the locker room or in ways that aren't obvious to the casual observer in the stands. It does seem there is a pattern the last few years of giving inconsistent effort from night to night or period to period or even shift to shift. There were times tonight when we looked really good and other times when we didn't do much at all. I would be interested in the perspective of those who follow the program more closely than I do.

2-2 with 18:23 to go in the 3rd period today. HC needs to get 2 points out of this game.

1 point against SHU is not an acceptable weekend.

Very disappointing weekend. We should have beaten this team twice. Team is way underachieving this year Hope this is not going to end badly again in March With First round exit but things not looking good
