Fair enough. Perhaps you can put your money where your mouth is, even just for $1? Please be counted among the alumni that care about and are willing to act for the financial future of the College. We all have other causes and commitments - I recognize that. But your class isn't doing too great at the moment. My class is in the lead. Care to tip the scales?

Back on topic, here's the link.Quoting from upthread, last year's goal was 4,300 donors in 43 hours, just under 2 days. Result: 6,226 donors and $1,939,318. This year's goal, 4,000 donors in basically 24 hours, 1 day with $1 million matched if that goal is met. I just made a gift. As of this post, we're at 133 donors (3% of goal) having given $19,300. That averages out to $145/donor (vs. $311 per donor last year). Bumping for the new page: now at 137 donors, $20,000 generously given. This board has more members than the campaign has donors at the moment.

Well, more folks are getting on board. I gave a donation for each year I have been married to the wonderful woman I met on Mt St James...hence the gift of $48. Remember, it is the number who gave, not the amount given, that will determine whether the school gets the challenge payment. Please give something (even if only $1.00 - Sota, here is your chance to get on board). Please remember HC today. Thanks in advance!

BTW, as a former professor myself, one of the things I LOVE about HC and similar colleges, is that their faculty is focused on every day teaching. I believe HC promotes that fact in their marketing. It cannot be overemphasized. Consider demonstrating your support for that approach by giving to alma mater today.

Hit the 4000 donor goal and captured the $1MM challenge.
Crusade Athletics Fund still has a way to go to get to 1500 donors and claim the $150,000 challenge.
Donors from every state except Alabama, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.

As of about a half hour ago:
Good evening, Class Chairs and Correspondents,
It has been an epic Valentine's Day, one for the books!! The College just surpassed the 5,000 donor mark and has picked up steam -- we are a mere 439 donors from setting a new record! As an added incentive, the Alumni Challengers have offered another $200,000 to see how high we can go.
We have three hours and 2 minutes and need your help! Would you please post on your social media accounts or reach out to your classmates one more time before the end of the day? We have until Midnight EST to get these donors -- the 5,683 donor record has been on the books since December 2013, how great would it be to achieve that #1 spot?
From all of us in Advancement, thank you for all you've done today. This has been a Valentine's Day for the memory books -- let's get it in the record books too!
Maggie
PS--we still need North Dakota and Alabama. HELP!

North Dakota has registered -- only Alabama remains without a donor.
Donors up to 5583 (1583 over goal; only 100 short of the record).
Still 130 minutes to go before the deadline.
Update: Alabama is in -- every state now covered!
