Just back from the graduation (excuse me, "commencement") at the DCU. Took a number of pictures and videos but won't match up with whatever video/streaming that HC did. Commencement speaker was excellent. Did not know she had been president of WPI and really connected all the HC/Worcester dots. Did not know that the NY TImes ridiculed Goddard's rocketry efforts or that they did a "retraction" (apology?) 50 years later as our astronauts were moon-bound. Four +/- women alumnae from the Class of '74 were recognized for the 50th year of co-education. Really nice crowd.
Will have to look over my photos/videos to see what, if anything I can post. Sluka, Dobbs, Haughney I think I got. BP Cassidy and Callie Wright. Didn't get Cara McC. Didn't see Jalen but they cranked out the diplomas so quickly it was hard to keep up. Didn't see C.J. but thought I saw him afterwards. Had a meet & greet with Eric Schon and wished him well at Duke.
Athletically, this was an outstanding class. It will be hard to match.

Dave Paulsen will not only match it on the MBB side but exceed it or we'll have some long winters. On the FB side, Coach Curran is aided by the credibility of HC FB that the class of 2024 and their coach created.
Things are looking up.

Looks like they gave the good seats to the VIPs rather than families of the graduates. Just like they did 8 years ago when the DCU was only going to be used for 2 commencements while the Luth was being built. 🙄

A camera with a nice zoom lens might fool you. Really wasn't sure how the folks were picked for the section I was in (I had a choice of 4 sections). Fr. Markey was in the section I was in as was Jim Nairus also there as a young lady with the same name was a Magna Cum Laude graduate and they were all at the post-ceremony President's reception. Presumably Jim's daughter. Some grads were at the President's reception but as near as I could figure, might have either been the honors grads or other grad VIPs (valedictorian there) as most were at the general reception.
