The women downed Merrimack 7-0 and are 3-0 at Hart field this season. Merrimack is not strong. (HC beat them 6-1 last year.) They are 3-1 with their only loss at Fairfield. If you have not seen them yet this year you should check out a replay of one of their games on ESPN+.

Even having seen field hockey games for years (my cross-country team practiced near their home field when I coached in high school), I still can't follow all of the calls. BUT a fun sport to watch.

Indeed, I hope this is a good sign for our team but let’s keep in mind Merrimack has lost 25 consecutive road contests - losing to Fairfield 5-zip was a surprising result

A surprise indeed. The Stags have lost 3 "1 goal" games but blew HC away 5-0. They are one of the favorites in their league but that game had to be one of HC's worst. Can we just enjoy the wins?
PS: I don't think Marrimack has scored a goal yet the entire season.

It is pretty crazy that Holy Cross doesn't have replay for field hockey yet...or didn't last season like most schools do now. |

Congratulations to the field hockey team for their 4-2 ooc win over Rider. Both teams are now 5-6 on the season. Congrats also to Meggan Fourie for her hat trick. A replay is available on ESPN+
