Kudos to bigfan for going 10 for 10 the last two times out and has now moved into 2nd place  !
Yours truly thought he could improve by picking some upsets but there were none and consequently went for the collar with a 0 for 5 outing  !

Holy Cross- Crusaders won the first game in NY by 6 points with 4 men in double figures. HC got off to a smoking start--think it was 17-0 to start.HC was (3) on rebounds and +6 in turnovers for the game. One weak point was HC 10-21 on free throws vs 8-9 for Colgate. I think HC is the better team and it loves the Hart Center. In regular season PL games over last two years HC is 8-5 at Hart and 2-13 on the road. I am expecting some different tactics from Coach Carmody tonight--hope that makes the difference. [EDIT: Lou, thanks, I corrected the error on our road record in original post]
Bucknell- Bison won by 9 at AU and that is the closest that any team ranked #200 (American is #315) has come in 13 games vs Bucknell this season. Bison should win this with ease and get some minutes for the bench. One sub, Bruce Moore (dado told us about his pedigree), has been getting more minutes lately and has a gaudy KenPom o-rating.
Army-- Army's defense has been abysmal of late as the Knights has lost the last four games. Adjusting for two OT's, Army gave up 86.6 points per 40 minutes in those four. Army does play at an extremely fast pace but that has enabled their opponents to score at a fast pace of late. Army did face four "better" PL teams in that stretch but the defensive ratings were still pretty weak: 128, 113, 114, 130. Army is facing the truly challenged Lafayette squad it lost to by 5 in the first game, at Laf. Still Lafayette has the PL's #10 offense and #10 defense and Laf is 0-13 when its opponents have an effective FG pctg of 50.0% or better. Army shot 50.8% against Bucknell, PL's #2 defense, and should exceed that against Lafayette, PL's #10
Lehigh-- This was a tough one to pick. Lehigh just got pummeled by BU losing by 17 after losing by 14 in their first game. Lehigh has had its two worst offensive games of the year against BU. Loyola won the first game versus Lehigh by 1 in PA even though Lehigh got off to an 11 point lead in the first 10 minutes. Loyola won its last two games. James Fives continues to start for Loyola but only played 13 minutes vs HC and 17 vs Laf in last two games. He has been very ineffective this season, e.g. he is 15-53 on twos, almost hard to believe. Lehigh is 10-1 when opponents have effective FG pctg below 51% and Loyola is 10th in the PL at 48.8% in PL play.
Navy-- This was another hard one to pick but I'll go contrarian and continue to ride the Navy bandwagon (band ship?) I hitched up a few weeks ago. Navy has 7 straight wins, 6 by double digits, and has moved up 106 places in the KenPom rankings. Boston U won the first game by 18 points at Navy and here they have come home to Boston and I'm still going with Navy. BU is 0-8 when the team shoots 30% or worse on threes and 2-8 when opponents shoot 35% or better from beyond the arc. Navy has shot 35% plus in each of the last 7 games and an overall 41.8% in that period. I hate the three, of course, but cite it as support for my whacky predictions when there seems to be a correlation with wins or losses.
