They should have joined the Big Ten for all sports years ago. Their plan to keep football independent was not a good long term decision and has made for multiple conference affiliations.

they have KILLED IT!
Academic rep staight arrow up. Selectivity straight arrow up. Endowment straight arrow up.
BRAND straight arrow up.
You really have to be kidding
They have their own TV contract.
Every bowl in the country outside the two designated for the top four teams is begging for them.
You think they are crazy to not share their money with Rutgers? Are you nuts?
This criticism is like saying Kate Upton is ugly because she has a zit.

Wow, just think how much their academic rep, selectivity, and endowment will improve when the football program's decline continues for another decade or two.

Notre Dame's 'profit' from athletics is equal to HC's total spending on athletics. And, unlike HC, I bet little or nothing from student tuition and fee revenue is diverted to pay for ND athletics.
ND's football 'profit' is $60 million.
ND 'loses' $3 million on men's hoops, playing in the ACC.

Before or after the annual checks from the NCAAT ?

Yeah....pretty hard to "cry" for ND's misfortunes these days.....their stature may be down a bit somewhat but not as dramatically as it is made out in the article...they were just in the national title game (admittedly blown out) just a few years ago.

Before or after the annual checks from the NCAAT ? The revenue would include all sport-specific revenue, including broadcast rights. BC spent $6 million on men's hoops, men's hoops revenue was $6.9 million. BC's hoops revenue is higher than Notre Dame's because as I understand it, ND agreed to reduce its share of conference distributed revenue in exchange for keeping all the broadcast money it gets from football.
