Massey makes HC a two point favorite against Colgate (68-66) - a virtual toss-up.
Colgate is 4-7 with losses to Syracuse, Brown and Niagara in their last 3 games.

Niagara was 2-8 going into that game in Hamilton and they blew out 'gate by more than 30. But I'll admit that probably has little bearing on this game. Very similar matchup as the men's game. Two mediocre teams and whoever plays less badly will win.

After the 1qtr, HC 20-18. Both teams played very well on offense, Byrne & Thomas each w/6 Colgate was lights out from the floor, shooting 58%, but HC forced 9 t/o while only having 1

At the half, HC 34-28. As well played was the 1st, the 2nd was wretched. Both teams had extended scoring droughts. Bryne w/ 11 & Swords w/ 5 rebs

Colgate starts out hot again, hitting everything, jump into the lead 39-37 w/ about 6+ to go. Hc relying too much this qtr on the 3.

Final HC 71-64. Won this game on the foul line where they were 28-36, and only 11 t/o to 23. Good win on a night where neither Thomas or Manis played well offensively. Byrne was the star of the game w/ 19 & 5 rebs Remarkable that they won as they only shot 29% from the field vs Colgate's 45%.

Doherty had a great second half as she score 10 of her 13 pts on 4-6 shooting including 2-4 from 3. HC was 21-26 from the line in the 2nd half vs 7-29 from the field.

Thanks for your observations 13. I had seen the Colgate women at FDU (before our game there). I thought they played a physical game and that it could be a problem for HC. This was a nice win where HC kept its poise under pressure when Colgate got hot in the second half. I got to study Infiniti's FT shooting. She is amazing. The ball barely leaves the officials hand before she is swishing it through the net. I wonder if she could do a clinic for the men?

71 points while shooting 29% from the field is pretty impressive.
