Massey makes HC an 8 point favorite (70-62) at home on Saturday. HC is given a 76% chance for the win. In their last meeting, HC lost 77-60 at Loyola, so this would be quite a turn-around.

Hard to see so many careless passes leading to Loyola layups. 14 turnovers are hard to take when they appear to be so easy. Having the ball and a chance to tie (down 3) and then to lose by 7 was disappointing, to say the least. Some good moments, just not enough of them. Much beer job on the boards (45-35) and having an OReb edge of 14-8 would have led me to pick an HC win.

did not see this one and happy I didn't - what a lousy performance with your coach looking at win no. 600 and playing a Loyola team with a 6-15 record and below us in the PL standings. some observations: = Loyola led for basically the last 3 quarters - no fight in our kids until desperation time in the 4th when we cut it to 3 points. = if you take out Manis' 7-7 from the line, our team was 3 of 12 - that is simply pathetic = with Th-Waheed and Manis leading the way again, no one else had more than 4 points. = our fg shooting % was 36%, including 23% from 3 (4 of 17)
I'd say this game was a microcosm of Gibbons' teams for the last 10 years. some good, more bad and a program with no trajectory. And remember, next year Manis is alone as we started 4 seniors again today (Faulkner is out with a concussion)
Onto to Navy which will be very tough as they try to sweep the season series from us, as Loyola just did

This time we "died."

the team is 3-8 at home, 1-5 in the league including losses in the last four at the Hart. Hey, coach, that's a problem. coach's analysis in the postgame was 'we're lacking spunk'. Maybe it's something else you should be looking for.
