Love that a recruit “gets it.” Guess our new coaches are well versed in the special history of HC football. See you at HC Gavin. Beat BC!!

Any idea what game that photo is from ? Very good question actually....very rarely have those stands connecting the horseshoe to the visiting side been full like that. Obviously this has to be '86 or '87 given the stadium design and Lockbaum playing...my guess, Homecoming from either year as it's not the BC game in '86 (given what looks like the weather/field conditions).

Have the monitors noticed that many of these offerees refer to the college as, simply, “Holy Cross”?

1. Would that be a higher percentage than the alums that refer to HC that way? 2. Who are the "monitors?"

Post by KY Crusader 75 on Apr 21, 2018 18:52:25 GMT -5
The monitors are those members of the crossports community who express their disappointment on this board when recruits (1) get the school’s name wrong, e.g. using “university” or (2) use the full, formal name, “College of the ....”, implying that they had to look it up to get it right. “Why can’t they just say “Holy Cross”?” is the common posting. After all, recruits at another school don’t say “Blessed to get an offer from the University of Notre Dame du Lac” as they know simply “Notre Dame” will be understood as the school in Indiana.
