Thank you. You’re right, no academic schools shown. . . . I wouldn't discount the possibility of Nelson becoming involved with JVB quite yet. He may not have qualified for the attention of the previous coach, if he couldn't "pass, dribble, shoot" to P.O. standards - doesn't mean we haven't begun to reach out in the last couple months.

DiMarz, Did you see Justin Vdb Yesterday ? Or Adams? Brown? Martindale? Thomson? Kolek?
I'm not sure I'd draw any conclusions about recruits based on whether or not they showed up at camp.

Yes, but they spell it...speling (with only one "l"). I understand that virtually the entire football team has mastered the spelling of "BC". And the season hasn't even started!

I saw Justin Vander Bann play, Alex's cousin, a 7 footer..He is a junior, very thin and not very physical..He does have some solid post moves, but doesn't play very big..He has a nice looking face up jump shot, but doesn't have and ups...On D he doesn't have good feet or quickness...He would be a project player as he looks right now...I can't see him getting much D-1 attention.. Mostly agree w/your assessment DiMarz. Saw him play a few weeks ago at a tournament at Rockport HS. I'll add that closer to basket he is, the better his footwork and movement is. Has a very good stroke and passed the ball very good. At BC/ACC level, he'll need to bulk up to contribute at other than the 3. At the level of his other offers and less than P6 he'll be more than ready to play 2 yrs from now. What I mentioned after seeing Justin VB this past winter is above. And trust me- he would have been a perfect fit for Carm's offense regardless of whether the old staff kicked his tires or not.

I'm also skeptical about his so-called "offers." Probably just interest at this point from the schools mentioned. No VC page, no film clips that I could find Well, he has a VC page now.

Cooper Creek a 6'8" and growing kid I coached at Bishop Connolly last year just received an offer from American. Colgate is also interested. Australian kid actually....played at Connolly the last 2 years as an exchange student. He's going to Williston this year. Biased but he's just getting better and better everyday. Has very good 3 pt range and plays well in the paint. Just someone I think we should look at in the very least. Steps off soapbox

Not sure Nelson wants to invest the time to help the kid unlearn whatever hc87 may have taught him.

Avery Brown was there..and Isaiah Thompson was there...not the others The kids I mentioned are all 2020s we have offered or appear very interested in, including Reece (not Avery) Brown, and Sam (not Isaiah) Thomson. That none of them came to the camp doesn't suggest to me they aren't interested in HC.

He probably couldn't have gotten into HC if he wound up at BC Probably attracted by that very highly-regarded Spelling major. Maybe a minor in Arithmetic!

If anything, it would probably say more about the skill level of those guys and them not needing to go to this type of camp in August of their HS Senior year because they're worried about offers.

Pretty impressive with the change of speed/change of direction moves; and really works the angles on the backboard, at least in this video. Video did not showcase a lot of passes...….
