Anybody willing to do a quick executive summary on what recruits are coming in next year, who are the rising Srs who have committed to HC etc? I appreciate all the reports on the recruiting trails, but I get lost at times amongst all the data....thanks, have a great 4th weekend all! 3 guys coming next year: Cohen, Stevens and Le Sann. m.telegram.com/article/20151112/SPORTS/151119623One scholarship left that could go with that group but it appears we are holding it for 2017 or beyond. Patrick Strzala gave a verbal for the first spot in 2017.

I really like the looks of Evans. The thought of having a well built 6'2 point guard after all these years of smurfs is intriguing. Hope our interest in him and him in us is legit.

1- all rising seniors play AAU 2-if he is not going to get shots or even reduced minutes, he would not have a very enjoyable senior year hoops, ok. my nephew played regional / national AAU from U-11 to U-17, and once he verballed in his junior year, that was the end of AAU. I can't recall if he would have had to play U-19 if he played after verballing.

If your nephew was a D 1 recruit, he was a rarity not playing AAU before his senior year. When did he play ?

IIRC, he played AAU the spring of his junior high school year, verbally committed was nominally admitted during that spring, and his last AAU games were the BABC Boston Shootout (end of May, early June??) That would be about ten years ago.

71.4% from downtown!!! Sadly, only 50% from the line. It's possible these numbers have something to do with small sample sizes.

Ramar Evans actually visited Brown and UMass-Lowell the same weekend he was at HC. I previously posted that he had visited BU.

Re-setting the recruiting picture here. I've left out players like Geo Baker, Sasha Stefanovic, and Walter Whyte who have HC offers, but have drawn high major offers and are likely out of reach. "Interest Only" names pulled together from reports posted over the last few weeks. Corrections/additions welcome, will try to keep updated under this thread.
OFFERS:
Caleb Green, 5-10 PG (NH). No other reported offers since ours last December.
David Kachelries, 6-0 PG (PA). Has picked up a dozen offers since Holy Cross, including most of the PL. Strong showing in first live period, maybe moving out of reach.
Jalen Gabiddon, 6-5 SG (PA). Doing a PG year in Maryland. Led the State of Pennsylvania in scoring last year with 37+. Has current offers from The Mount and Columbia as well as Holy Cross.
Kyle Copeland, 6-3 SG (VA). Prepping at Exeter. Competing offers from AU, Stetson, and the Q.
Jahsim Floyd, 6-7 PF (NJ). Other offers from NJIT, Rider, the Q. May be drawing higher interest.
INTEREST ONLY:
Griffin Kornaker, 6-2 PG (CT). Ramar Evans, 6-2 PG (IL). Tyler Jones, 6-0 PG (NJ). Justin Jaworksi, 5-11 CG (NJ) Jack Hutchison, 6-1 SG (MN). Kendrick Gray, 6-5 G/F (VT). Kaiden Rice, 6-7 SF (SC). Jeffrey Allen, 6-7 C/F (CT). Patrick Harding, 6-8 C (CT).

CoBL's Josh Verlin tweets today that we are showing some interest in 5-11 CG Justin Jaworski from Perkiomen Valley (PA) High School. He has no D1 offers, but has picked up several D2 offers in the last few weeks.

The scouting report would make you believe that Jaworski was headed for the ACC --then it concludes with a projection of D2 or D3.......; HC staff may see something COBL is missing

Or COBL just assumes that a sub-6 foot player can't make it in D1. As for me, I always prefer HC basketball players to be taller than I am. Aren't these scouting reports similar to a player's highlight videos? They are all superstars or at minimum shading toward optimism. If COBL thinks D2/D3, I would be very leery.

It did seem to this non-expert that he put the ball on the floor a few times when he might have gone right up with the shot. Likes to score for sure. Looking forward to others input

It should be noted that the Jaworski evaluation was last August; not unreasonable for him to improve his game up a level over the past year.
But here lies the dilemma (at least as I see it) with recruiting at our level. We almost need to root for landing late bloomers. We could have our eyes on a really good sophomore prospect, but if he blows up during the summer of his junior year (or even during his junior year), it's sayonara. It seems like you have to identify the rising seniors with potential right now, extend an offer, close the sale quickly, and then hopefully he takes off the way you project. While I'm sure some coaches are better recruiters than others, it seems like some good fortune is needed too.

Can see what interests our staff. Believe he and Faw are AAU teammates this year. Hoops, what do you think?
