I wonder if there is any overlap between recruitment for football and LAX? I recall that Rivers held an offer from Bryant for both football and LAX. I know that Perry plays football and basketball for Brown. There may have been others in our recruiting class who were being recruited for more than one sport. Perhaps schools have found a way to finagle the NCAA rules on recruiting by combining recruitment and scholarship money across more than one sport? Not sure if there are restrictions on where a recruit’s pot of scholarship money comes from. This was discussed on the old forum. A lacrosse player who receives any fin aid and also plays football is a "counter" against the 85 cap. (This would not apply to Brown, or Georgetown.) ___________________________________ With respect to Sluka, he re-tweeted this Youtube video of a former teammate, Jordan DeLucia, who is headed to Harvard. It is not as if Sluka would have been overlooked when schools were looking at De Lucia. Sluka appears in much of De Lucia's video highlights, and throws a nice pass on the run to De Lucia (2018). .

Lax is a great offseason sport for many other sports....football, basketball and hockey in particular. A lot of the same movements, schemes etc are utilized in lax that you see/need in those sports.
Neva played myself...it was still mostly a "preppy sport" in my neck of the woods at high schools in the early 1980s.

PL did amend ByLaws. Rule now only applies to "recruited" players as defined by the NCAA.

Cranford High School has had a good football program over the past several years, although this year was somewhat less successful (I believe the record this past season was 5-4). Cranford's QB (a 2* recruit) is going to Georgetown. Blowe's Hudl: www.hudl.com/profile/9381744/Patrick-BloweListed at 6-1, 285.

I note that on the commitment tweet he is listed as an Athlete. Watched his tape. Skills translate to a slot receiver, IMO.

So, at this point once the QB from NY formally commits, we should have a completed class for 2020. Lots of skilled playmakers in this class, as well as some good size up front and some real tone setters at LB and DB/S.
