Hats off to the defense, especially in the 2nd half today... Great to see the seniors go out with a win, and a comeback I'm sure they won't forget.

Scarlotta does not use his last timeout. Classy.

This game has fired the guys (who are returning) up for next season! ...BIG TIME! I never thought that I would be so thrilled by a second in the PL. Hopefully that is the lowest we finish for a few years!

Think any of our guys will be picked as a PL player of the week?

Crazy to think the season is already over - Seemed to fly by.
Definitely nice to have a few wins going into next season, but we have to figure out the OC and QB situation if we're going to be successful next year.

Don't think I've ever seen a game in which the winning team lost the turnover battle, 6-1.
Even if you count blocked punts as turnovers, it still shouldn't add up for an HC win.

I am in shock! Wade throws the ball right to the Georgetown player after fumbling on the drive before.
Incredible! Great 4 game win streak to end the season! 2nd place in PL not a bad start for Chesney beat everybody he was supposed to besides Buckell

Culture has been shifted. Very good point. And, with that shift, I have to believe HC will solve the issues of offensive play calling and the QB situation. GO CROSS! Congratulatios to all of the players (especially the seniors) - and to their coaches!Attachments:

Might be a modern era record for a team to block four punts for touchdowns in a season.

And what a bounce to close out recruiting. Given the way they closed the year, you think Chesney has a little bit of a narrative to sell?

The special teams has been "special" all year. Bookending the season with 2 blocked punts for TDs against BC the first game and Georgetown the last game, not to mention so much success on onside kicks.
Oliver should have been playing more and sooner. He moves the pile like no RB we've had in years.
This game was not a battle of offenses as the announcers were right when they said GU's most potent weapon was their defense. Our defense came through totally in the second half and it seemed to me that our better conditioning came into play late in the game. It also seems to help juice the guys when we get a couple of scores - even if it wasn't by the offense.
Guess we're the Avis team "We're #2!"

Never in doubt . . .
FoCF Game Balls: Macklin Kortebein with 2 blocked punts returned for TDs, the entire D led by Teddy Capsis who was all over the field, Martin Dorsey with 13 catches and many of the clutch variety, and Teneo Ayeni for a catch that was simply spectacular.
Despite not having his best game, if this is Geoff Wade's last game as a Crusader he finishes 8-5 while the team during those years was a combined 13-20. I will let the football experts in the audience figure that one out. #winner

The D played very well all day. That 2nd GTown TD was so bogus....PL officiating is really abysmal. That call (or non-call) led to much of the chipiness that ensued for much of the rest of the game.

Have to agree. Had his forward progress stopped...yes. If someone had landed on him as he lay there it would have been a penalty against HC. But all came out well in the end.

3rd Down Efficiency: HC 3-14 GU 2-16
I don't think I've evah seen a game were both teams were looking to score on D or special teams than today's game on both sides.
