Can they move to FBS all ready. I am tired of them winning very year.
Maybe they won't be as good, losing their coach. But they get great recruits that are just on the edge of FBS.

They are definitely not heading to FBS any time soon. Unfortunately, it's not a promotion/relegation system. Moving up has almost nothing to do with how good you are at football.
SOMEONE else in FCS ought to step up and challenge the Bison at some point you would think. They do lose their coach though that same occurrence didnt slow them down one bit a few years back.
What happened to McNeese State, Montana, Delaware and Furman? These programs used to challenge for titles every year and have been down for quite some time. JMU seems to be a formidable challenger whenever theyre not losing to Colgate. App State and Georgia Southern moving up to the Sun Belt have definitely helped create a vacuum for NDSU.
Need parity now.

They have a number of factors that go in their favor in terms of getting FBS-level recruits. The first factor would be the fact that they have an FBS-level program in terms of support and following all across the board. The school has earned this by becoming FCS "Title Town USA". The second is that they are located in a state with no FBS teams and generate a "subway alumni" following that most FCS schools would dream of. Imagine being a high school recruit choosing between NDSU, Toldeo and Northern Illinois but having grown up in or around Fargo and having attended Bison games and tailgates since birth. That recruit is staying home. Third, and most important IMO -- their proximity to other states that have ONE P5 school but no other division one football schools. Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska are such states. They all have deeper talent pools than North Dakota but no secondary programs to fight with over recruits with after the Badgers, Gophers and Cornhuskers are finished.

All good points. Just frustrating, wish they would come east to play some games. They always have a high seed which they deserve because of their record. But, the FCS rates those teams out west higher than the teams out east. Just wish the Bison had to come to HC or Maine or UNH. EVEY SINGLE FCS PLAYOFF GAME THEY HAVE HAD HAS BEEN AT HOME. That is helpful They played four road games this year.

That is helpful They played four road games this year. You will kind of get your wish next year as they travel to Newark to face the University of Delaware. Delaware was one of the schools I mentioned that has been down for a solid ten years now. Like what happened? Between Delaware, JMU, Montana, McNeese, Sam Houston State, Furman, Northern Iowa, Youngstown State and Jacksonville State, you would think at least ONE of these classic I-AA/FCS programs would step up and challenge the Bison for a title at some point (please?).
As far as playoff games being at home, I would argue they've earned every last one of them. When you finish the regular season as the top team in the top conference with a #1 or occasionally #2 ranking, you deserve to play at home. I would argue they deserve this perpetual home field advantage even more so than the New England Patriots who for years have had playoff runs aided by byes and home field as a result of feasting on a weak division.
