With respect to what we are missing from Niego . . . per 40, his FG%, scoring and assists are way up from last year. Rebounds are down, and he has committed twice as many fouls (more than anybody else, per 40). Fwiw, his DRtg is quite poor (112.4).
To be fair, it's a pretty small sample size to work with - 60% of his minutes on the court occurred vs. Michigan, PC, and URI, much of which was not prime time. In his other seven appearances, he averaged 7m, 2.5p, 1R.

CN's offensive numbers have been very encouraging, particularly since 60% of his minutes, as Worcester Gray noted, came against those three tough teams, all of them defensive stalwarts: Michigan #2 defense (84.9 def efficiency), Providence #56 (96.5), URI #52 (96.2). He played 22, 18, and 34 minutes respectively, so some minutes came against the opponent's top players.

vs. Michigan. Niego played 17minutes in the first half and went 5-5 (3-3), 13p, pretty much the reason HC went into the locker room with a six point lead. Definitely a prime time performance - but In the second half, he played just 5 minutes, went 0-2.
vs. Providence. Another good first half - 12m, 3-3 (1-1), 7p. Second half - 6m, 2p.
vs. URI. First half - 14m, 2-5 (1-3), 7p. Second half - 20m, 2-4, 4p, 3r.
So three pretty good outings against good teams - which makes it more puzzling why he played and did so much less against everybody else.
