With regard to Ashley Green’s tweet about the Nichols game being the loudest and fullest Hart Center she’s ever seen, I HOPE she was not in the arena for the following:
January 2007 Friday night ESPNU game vs Lehigh 9pm tip 2007 Semi vs American 2007 PLC versus Bucknell 2008 Flannery ejection game against Bucknell Noveber 2008 win vs St. Joes — Cousy, Togo, Heinsohn honored at halftime 2009 Semifinal win against Colgate 2009 regular season home game against American 2011 winter Homecoming sellout against Bucknell 2017 winter Homecoming sellout against BU — championship teams honored
That being said, student support for this team has been awful for almost a decade now. Very obvious that the football team is coerced to attend the CBS Sports telecast games to make at least one end look sort of full. Need a winner here in the worst way.

I've seen the Hart Center full many times....however all but one of your examples are from 8 or more years ago. Every high school in Massachusetts has better student support than Holy Cross. It's a big problem and you're right about needing a winner. Hopefully that will bring the students back who are the catalyst for any college team's support.

Not sure any of them would equal the 2003 PL final vs American. Place was packed and rocking 40 minutes before tip-off

If anything of an emergency nature happened in that building, the walkways on each end line (especially near the Ryan Room) were impassible. By the time of Bucknell in 2007 the number of standees was extremely limited and not due less fan enthusiasm- the game was on a Friday and declared a sellout on Monday morning.

Beat Rowan on Rowan's home court, 87-76. Let's see if they can keep rolling.

They beat Middlebury 74-71 in the first round yesterday and now go on to the Sweet 16. Nice that Worcester county has a winning basketball team. Wasn't long ago that it was Holy Cross. Maybe again sometime.

Place was packed and rocking 40 minutes before tip-off Can vividly remember walking into the Hart lobby that afternoon about an hour before tip and you could already hear the students going crazy. There was also a Friday night game vs American that year with an awesome crowd, and Brian Wilson leading the team to a big comeback win.

Just put a consistently winning team on the court and the Hart will be full again.
It’s really that simple.
How do we get there? Not so simple.

Is Nichols in the Wisstah college consortium? Can their Coach get on the van ovah to HC like Chesney did?

Another poster said the coach is in his first year and inherited a boatload of talent. He is undefeated at the Hart.

Great for CMass college hoops.

...and a T&G game article, kudos to them. Unlike the Globe that totally ignored Babson winning it all 2-3 years ago.

The got beat by Swarthmore tonight...A great season for them... The coach of Swathmore is going to get a D1 job soon. I think he’d be a good candidate if the HC job were to open up.

When Cass was a sophomore Planned to go to Swarthmore.
Mike Dukakis did go to Swarthmore. I wonder if he was there cheering for the Garnet? Their mascot is Phineas the Phoenix. As neutered as the new Holy Cross shield is, it's more attractive than the Phoenix logo of Swarthmore. After a lifetime of hearing about the Fighting Irish, I finally heard about the Fighting Scots of Goddard due to this thread and now the Garnet. Thanks '70 for starting this thread.
