Just read in his bio that Scott completed 199 passes in his high school career and had 274 rushing attempts. Definitely looks good on the running plays in the spring practice videos.

Eddie Scott has very puzzling HS stats as QB: as a senior he completed 73 of 167 (.437) passes for 859 yards (5 yards per attempt) with 6TD's and 8 Int's. Those are not inspiring numbers. Compare to Emmett Clifford who threw for 2,752 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior in highest level division.

Maybe we’re going to employ an old school Army-like wishbone attack with 1-2 passes per game. Or maybe his receivers in high school weren’t exactly college-ready.

I watched the 1st Practice clips. Ayeni looks on a few occasions that he's getting very open. There was 1 for a touchdown and 1 where he got the best of John Smith pretty good on a clip that was posted on Twitter. Athletic looking plays - in the highlights he looks impressive.

Reynolds had no stats as a freshman defensive back last season. He does not show up as a participant in any game--looks like he has moved forward from last season

Great article--love the feedback on Akeem Walcott. I recall Akeem as a very charismatic presence in some of last year's videos

Well, if we go the wishbone route, we'll need a fullback or five on the roster. When's the last time we had a true FB on the team? Kevin Golden '09?

I don't think that there are many message boards on which the fewer/less topic is addressed as frequently as it is here. I think we are "very unique."

Every day life must drive English teachers crazy. Not on this board, but elsewhere, including in newspapers, we often see "the team was lead by point guard John Doe" and "the coaches are honing in on what is causing the defensive problems".
