How is it ridiculous? I can't remembah a league like the PL this year when really any result between 2 teams wouldn't have surprised me in the least.
Colgate had a nice team/season...I'll root for them in the Dance but I think they will more than likely be beaten badly in the 1st round.

My guess is that Colgate gets a #15. Probably deservedly so.
Most years two or three 2 vs 15 games are blowouts with a close game mixed in. Once every two or three years, a 15 gets a win. I expect Colgate to be no different.

I'm guessing you see upsets in the patriot League and draw the conclusion that because Bucknell got blasted by Navy or Colgate was defeated by Loyola, that the teams are equal, "a dime's difference". Well, check out the Big 10: #4 Michigan State lost to #82 Illinois, #12 Wisconsin lost to #118 Western Kentucky, etc. The teams are what their records say they are and the records say there is a wide disparity in team quality in the Patriot League

She succeeded Vicki Chun ( Colgate ‘91, MA ‘94 ) who was hired in 2018 to be the AD at Yale. Her Chief of Staff went with her. www.yalebulldogs.com/information/directory/bios/chun_vicky?view=bioAfter a successful career at 'Gate, there wasn't much more for her to achieve. She had been named Colgate University’s Director of Athletics and Associate Professor, effective January 2013 Vicki is the only person in the PL to be both the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year. Her sport is volleyball. As an alum on the job, she garnered unprecedented support from the widest swath of the Colgate community. For those hoping to catch Colgate cutting corners to justify HC's relative performance, ponder the following: "...At Colgate, Chun partnered with faculty, student-athletes, and staff to foster a culture recognized for high performance, positive energy, collaboration, and integrity. Under Chun's guidance, the average grade point average of student-athletes surpassed the average GPA of the entire student body, with the student-athlete GPA increasing year-over-year for her entire tenure as director of athletics. During Chun's last year at Colgate, in 2017-2018, her student-athletes recorded an impressive 98% NCAA Division I Graduation Success Rate, the second highest student-athlete GPA in the country..." " Correct me if I'm wrong....
Prior to accepting the job obviously had never run an athletic department and had never hired or fired any head coaches. Once on the job, she did hire the current football coach, which turned out to be very good. Anyone else hired or fired by her ?
Reason for asking - some here blast away at our just departed AD Nate Pine for not having experience in hiring/fireing head coaches prior to his arrival at HC.
Thanks

So you think Gate will be a tough out for Tennessee ? Leaving for Vegas in 25 hours. Colgate getting 17.5; money line is +1400.. I will bet Colgate on both. So yes, I think they will be a tough out. We’ll see.

We’ll see. Colgate “got” no respect here. They were very good, beat HC five times in a row! During this season, when HC played well, they could play with anyone (when they didn’t, a CYO team could beat them, but that’s for another thread.). HC brought their A game against them, yet fell short. I doubled the line bet, and made $$, even though I lost the moneyline, If they pulled it off, would have paid for the whole trip! Go HC!!

Colgate is so far ahead of where we are as a program. Better coach. Better players.

Colgate is so far ahead of where we are as a program. Better coach. Better players. Cannot deny that Colgate has come a long way in the past three years. As for HC, let’s see where the next two years bring them.
