The team roster on that schedule page includes ladies, e.g., a Laura, a Nicolette, a Lily, a Jennifer. I'll save the wise-ass remarks.

One reason is that if the SID on top of College Hill had published a team roster with a gender mix then the comments on this board would be apoplectic.

Apparently he has grown an inch to 6’7.” Nice stroke from behind the arc. Also took the ball to the rim once.

The local kid from Southboro, Alex Karaban, had a very nice game vs Blair Academy. 10-13 from the field and 21 points. Not sure if he is repeating his frosh year or if he is a sophomore. Highlights of him are in there.

Nice to see another big game from Martindale with 17 points. Should I be concerned that Rabinovich seems to score in the single digits every game?

NO in their first two games Mike received by far the fewest opportunities to score of the five starters. the guards have free reign to shoot as much as they choose, regardless of the results. The biggest man Josh O should be the most annoyed. He should receive far more touches than he gets. Mike rebounds, defends and passes at a high level. He usually plays the high post.

Highlights of him are in there. "Staying Back" or having to repeat a year used to be a negative and occasionally smart kids were able to skip a grade, which was a mark of honor. Now repeating a year in school appears to be par for the course for good athletes (except ironically for golfers - never heard of them staying back.)

Thanks, hoops. Makes me feel better. They have one guard in particular who based on the one game I watched on tape, has no conscious when it comes to shooting the basketball. I came across the stats at the hoop hustle site for the WA game vs. Blair Academy at the National Prep Showcase in New Haven. The guard I referenced took 25 shots. Rabinovich took 6. The HH site seems to cover prep basketball extensively. They have a national poll of the top ten prep programs plus honorable mentions. WA was 11.
