I’ve been checking KenPom daily to see when the new year would be added. I certainly think we can do better than #308

Yes, and as you've seen KenPom projects an 84-58 score with Maryland 99% to win. As a real wake-up KenPom projects us to go 9-21 for the regular season.

Looking forward to the prediction post for this season.
So many unknowns are great for those that look at this from a glass full perspective. A few upsets against the top half of the conference will surprise all but the the coach, the team and a few of us who just want to believe.

The good thing for us during OOC schedule is forcing our opponents to prepare for our youth, inexperience and new style of play

Massey sees our game with Maryland as a win for the Terps (77-54). He gives them a 96% chance for the win...so HC still has a chance (4%).

Losing your best player and two other solid starters plus your coach does not auger well for a great season. Still, hope springs eternal and I think we will be better than many think. In full disclosure, I have been thinking the same thing for 65+ years.

Hopefully, it gets crowded early on.

Wow! Talk about going over the cliff. A very long and cataclysmic drop from pre-season #9 in Sports Illustrated forty-two years ago next month.

I fully expect that we won't be #338 when the season is over. But nice to lower expectations.

We will finish close to 200 if not better. I believe most evaluate the talent based on the old style of play and I believe this team will mature, gain confidence and finish somewhere between 5-7 in the PL. after the top 4 it is a crapshoot

And this team doesn't look like a once-in-a-decade club.

Finished 234 last year with 16 wins will be a highly successful season and Nelson should get coach of the year if we match last years record.

Understand but while there are naysayers out there this group has legitimate talent for this league. we are far ahead in talent than Loyola was at this time last year. Honestly when Witts, Mulquin and I talked at the first HC-Loyola game I didn’t think they could beat a top 20 high school team. With that said they worked hard and over the course of the season developed an identity and Hardy recognized and developed Kostecka. i believe our experienced group of Butler, Faw and Niego will thrive in the new system
