Surprised nobody has picked up on the fact that we are wearing new white helmets tomorrow. They look great on the various social media outlets.

Hopefully better unis than the John Provost era Cross unis, with white helmets, which absolutely sucked.
Not that there aren't some plain unis I like being so traditional (Penn State, Bama).

It is a somewhat pejorative nickname some here have taken to calling Chesney due to his Ray Ban sunglasses.

Thanks. Petty, but no major problem. The lack of respect shown by that name certainly must come from someone who is not a fan of Holy Cross.

I’m sure Coach 5-2 in his first 7 D1 conference games doesn’t give a flip about stupid nicknames. Let’s make it 6-2 today.

Love the helmets. Now if we can just eliminate the color black from our wardrobe.

Not a fan. Tradition has become a trigger word to this school.

This should be our de facto home uni....

Clean look. I love them but I love tradition. Go with purple except for one home or away game. Then white could be an alternate helmet. I think white shoulder stripes a la LSU and 1950s HC would look classic.

I like Wash. State's gray/silver. Would look great with purple instead of crimson.

It's funny, having grown up watching HC in the 70s, the white helmets seem traditional to me....I thought that yesterday's uni combo was far and away the best all year.

I like the K State uniforms as well, especially the silver helmets. K State is a Nike uniform school. HC is an Adidas uniform college and the uniforms follow the Adidas template. Interesting article from SB Nation regarding the diamond pattern jerseys for Adidas institutions. Don’t expect a major change in the HC uniforms until the current HC uniforms reach the end of life. HC has the TechFit, Shockweb uniforms supplied by Adidas. Maybe the next version will be the PRIMEKNIT as mentioned in the article from SB Nation. Hopefully next season. Remember several years ago when the shoulder pads kept popping out of the jerseys. The PRIMEKNIT technology has addressed that uniform issue. The only way HC will switch to Nike or Under Armour is if they meet or exceed the current or future contracts with Adidas. It’s a money game regarding who will be outfitting HC Athletics and how much they will pay for sponsorship. The contract should be up for renewal soon. www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/8/10/17658578/adidas-jerseys-primeknit-a1-shockwebFor those that do not like the gray uniforms, it is the color chosen by Adidas as an alternative uniform supplied by Adidas. The SB Nation shows a picture of the Tennessee Volunteers uniform which is smoke gray. You may not like, but Adidas is providing the uniforms gratis according to contract. Believe schools can also request Black, as we have most recently seen. This rotation allows for a longer life cycle for the base uniform (purple) according to the contract with Adidas.
