It's a crazy league...2-7 Lafayette can rise from the ashes and take control of the PL with a win at Fitton next week. That is entirely possible as they would have the tiebreaker over us which could set up a brawl for it all at the historic Lehigh-lafayette end of season rivalry game with HC waiting in the wings to move on against Southeast Mid Central State in the FCS playoffs if Lehigh wins.š

Would add that missing Lang was in part a reason for giving up a ton of those Short to intermediate passes. We tried to keep it in front of us and not so sure Langās style would have given those up Missing Gilliam also was less than positive more on special teams but we have Significant depth at the WR position How badly was Forrest injured last week? The public does not find out about any injury.

Lafayette is 2-7; 2-1 currently...they have played a lot of teams tough....they aren't bad ( by PL standards anyway)

A great league road win. The kind of game you need to win any way you can when you're building a program. Winning consistently is part attitude. Big game next week. Early prediction. HC 38-17.

Terrible decision by the Lehigh QB.Ā Down the middle of the field with three HC defenders converging. Yes but if that was the play sent in, the responsibility is shared Multiple receivers on any play.

Degenhardt rose to the occasion and did what it took to lead his team to a win in a hard fought game over a tough Lehigh team. This was a great win for HC. Now onto our next game against Lafayette in what will be another hard fought game. No time to bask in the glory. GoCrossGo. LoveHC Iām not really sure what Degenhardt did today that could be considered āleading the team to a winā. Defense, offensive line, Cozier, and Oliver were the keys. Degenhardt had two costly turnovers and missed several receivers on the day.

Letās enjoy it and cut the kid a break. Unless we have reason to believe otherwise, Iām going to assume heās working his *ss off every week to improve and help bring us a PL title for the second time since I graduated. That was a long time ago. Enjoy the ride and support the kids.

Iām supporting every player on the team, but calling out a 10-22, 2 INT day not great. Thatās all. We are allowed to do that, no?
This should have been a much more comfortable win that didnāt come down to the final drive.

He did not have his best game but his run on third and about 10 for a first down on our last drive was a key to us running down the clock for four more downs Also his 14 yard TD pass in the corner of the end zone was a perfect throw ta Ayeni

He did not have his best game but his run on third and about 10 for a first down on our last drive was a key to us running down the clock for four more downs That was critical. I think the staff knew we could gash Lehigh on the ground, so that was the clear game plan going in. Degenhardt didnāt really need to do a whole lot more than manage the game, which he largely did, but still make a few poor decisions. With our stout defense, running game, and offensive line, managing the games going forward may be enough to win the whole damn thing.

The Class of '67 has it right. Connor "rose to the occasion" (few QBs play a perfect game) and hoops spelled out exactly what I was thinking when he ran for a first down on long yardage to preserve the possession.
That said, Domenic was by far our greatest offensive weapon today and Peter was there when we needed him.

To watch the replay of the game, go to the schedule on the HC website and click on stadium for the Lehigh game. Then look at the games listed at the bottom of the page and click on HC at Lehigh. When the video is available, you will get it there.

Was at the game today. Beautiful weather for the game ! Very concerned going forward with the defensive secondary . They seemed totally out of sync and held on for dear life at the end. CD did not have a good game, but his scramble up the middle late in the game was huge ! Lots of work to do for next three games . Glad to escape with a win !!

Dad (Class of '70) was extremely pleased to hear of the game result. Back to Fitton to battle the 'Pards. It's a wonderful thing to be in the month of November and control one's own destiny, and here we are.
No let downs.
