After a furious Army comeback at the end, Colgate prevails, 70-65.

And army had a wild three point attempt with two seconds left that actually could have tied the game and probably sent it to overtime.

Perfectly executed intentionally missed free throw, rebound, pass to the corner, shot missed but Colgate very nearly fouled the shooter, down 3

If Colgate is supposed to be head and shoulders better than the rest of the league, then Army looks to be a major challenge as well. They gave the Raiders everything they could handle and never gave up.

They may become a major challenge to Colgate, as Mo Cazzara said on the telecast, but it is a long season to base that judgment on this one game.

My point, if I did not make it well enough the first time, is that while Holy Cross is not in a position to look past any team (i.e. 2-13 record, long term enough?), Army will not be one in which we, or any PL team, should take for granted. Especially when we play them in Christl.

They may become a major challenge to Colgate, as Mo Cazzara said on the telecast, but it is a long season to base that judgment on this one game. Mo Cassara rarely says anything that makes sense. Right now Army is ranked 9th in the PL (Pomeroy, Massey, etc) and they have earned that spot. They will have a few good games over the year - as they did last night - but there is zero chance they will challenge Colgate. It would be surprising if they finish within five games of them. Their good performance last night vs Colgate is one data point - but so are their losses to teams like Binghamton, Wagner, LIU, and Merrimack.

So we can expect Bucknell to roll right over them in both games. Thanks for the tip.

So we can expect Bucknell to roll right over them in both games. Thanks for the tip. That’s beyond silly. I made no statement at all about how Army compares to Bucknell, other than the objective statement that Army looks like one of the two weakest teams. . Bucknell looks like a team that maybe will win 10 games in the patriot Lesgue, so they are unlikely to roll over anyone. That is true of everyone in the league, with one exception. Colgate is by far the top team
