BU wins, 64-60. Big win for the Terriers as they look to get a 2-seed.

Lehigh beats Bucknell, 69-60. The Mountain Hawks are a different team with big James Karnik in the lineup - he led the way today with 17 and 6.

BU rallied from 18 point 1st half deficit to win, American terrible in 2nd half only scored 20 points. Gasperini has not become the player I thought he would be missed a number of close in shots and was dominated by Mahoney in 2nd half. Lehigh making good use of twin towers as Lynch equaled Karnik's 17/7 effort, out rebounded Bucknell by 12.

/\ Loyola is an example of a team that picked up three talented (in relation to the PL) frosh. It may be less points for Kostecki, but Dike (12 rebounds and 14 points today), Spencer (9 points today), and Aldama (10 rebounds and 14 points today) all seem to already be above-average PL talents.
That is what we need from our recruits if we are to bounce back a bit next year.

It's amazing Lafayette came as close as they did with Stephens and Perry combining to shoot 4/29 and 1/19 from behind the arc.

Lehigh had a clean look at the buzzer on a three but it’s going to overtime with BU

Navy beats Loyola. Aldama continues to fire up and miss threes: 1 for 8 tonight makes him 10 for 45 for the season, There's lots more to his game, of course, but cannot believe he doesn't have a bright red light from beyond the arc

Did not see Kostecka; is he hurt?

BU-Lehigh in OT. Mahoney misses a layup then bobbles a rebound at the other end and commits a foul. Still, BU has the ball down 1 point with about 35 to play

Box score has Kostecka going 0-4, so he couldn't have played much

Then Mahoney drives and gets fouled and misses both free throws. He's having a really bad OT period. 20 seconds to play and Lehigh up 1
Wow-- then he gets the ball underneath and misses again and I think he then fouled LU player.

(We may not be seeing the whole repertoire - -scary as that sounds - given the long layoff due to injury. Box score says he was 2 for 9 tonight from beyond the arc...the team shot just a combined 3 for 18 tonight from three.) Not sure if we have seen the last of the very brief (7 game) Kostecka/Aldama overlap given tonight's first-half injury to Kostecka.

/\ Quite possible he doesn't stay four years and game announcers tonight commented more than once on that fact (but alluded to professional ranks here or abroad) - no question his game is not the norm for PL.

Are any coaches on “the hot seat?” I don’t know contract situations. Most teams this year are mediocre which is enough in this league.
First the five schools that care about the sport.
HC: new and no. Colgate: Their concern is keeping Langel. More league losses than expected. Boston: no. They do well enough in this league. Bucknell: some fans aren’t happy with Davis. Lehigh: no. Reed can stay as long as he wants. He got the big win. They won’t do anything in the PL this year .
Now the five schools that are content to be D1 and have a good year now and then at what we kindly call mid-major level.
Lafayette: no. O’Hanlon can stay as long as he wants. He didn’t get the big win but with two wins over Colgate, maybe they will take some tournament games. Army: surging. If they put it together they could win the tournament. Navy: decent. No change of course. American: doing well enough. Loyola: Doing well enough.
Who might win the PL tourney? Lots. Colgate, Lafayette, Boston, American, Army maybe even Loyola. It’s very wide open this year.

Based on how Army looked last night, I seriously doubt they will win the PLT.

Army has melted down late in games a number of times and is a poor free-throw shooting team. They have no chance, imho.
Hard to see Lafayette advance far without Jaworski. Loyola, maybe a dark horse, if Kotecka is healthy

Based on how Army looked last night, I seriously doubt they will win the PLT. I think they have a puncher's chance. Boston U and Colgate both loss, albeit on the road, two teams that aren't having very good seasons. Over the past 13 games, Army is 10-3, which is the best mark in the league over that stretch.

I have to think Colgate is going to win. The loss last night to Bucknell was on the road(which is always tough) and the fact that they wrapped up first place with a win over HC, It may be a little bit of them "exhaling" with not a lot to play for.
I have to think if they win they the Tournament they are pretty much locked in as a 14th seed so not much not to play for there either.
