Nelson is omitted to exclude homerism and anger, I don’t see how a first-year coach can be considered fairly.
Any errors, please note.
It’s a mystery about how some guys haven’t moved on.
Those who have track records of losing don’t have to win?
Every league has them, like Vanderbilt and Northwestern. The Patriot League just seems to have more. Luckily the successes of Bucknell and Lehigh over the past years have drawn favorable attention.
I know the teams with consistently losing records are working hard but this is supposed to be D1 ball and winning matters.
DeChellis is 112-158.

Anyone who can turn around Colgate has to be the best one in his league. Reed’s record obviously inflated by the McCollum years. Davis probably second but a lot easier to keep winning at Bucknell with their facilities than to start winning at Colgate with their facilities.

There are some folks on the Bucknell board starting to grumble about Davis. This is the first year the team has consisted solely of his recruits, and it has not gone particularly well.

Anyone who can turn around Colgate has to be the best one in his league. Give him his due, but the turnaround was a long time coming - he didn't have a winning season until his seventh year, was 46 games under .500 until then, and endured three 20+ loss campaigns.

And that’s with major recruiting advantages over rest of league (best arena, recent success).

I would say Langel without question. I think Saint Joe’s made a big mistake when they hired Billy Lange instead of him.

Villanova is the only good Big Five team. Temple, LaSalle and Penn are around .500, St. Joe’s isn’t.

It’s Langel. Basically, anybody who can turn Colgate into a contender has to be good. Maybe he will move on?
Others receiving votes: American’s Brennan: six seasons, one PL tournament title, no post-season wins (NCAA, NIT). Great first season. Not much since. This school has clearly de-emphasized winning. Bucknell's Davis. Five seasons, two tournament titles, no post-season wins. Bucknell has been the gold standard for awhile though this year is bad. Lafayette’s O’Hanlon: 25 seasons, three tournament titles, no post-season wins. A quarter century of this? Law of averages on titles. Lehigh’s Reed: 13 seasons, two tournament titles, and yes a big post-season win. It seems odd that he stayed at Lehigh. That Duke win was back in 2012. Still amazing.
