NMH getting demolished by a very good New Hampton team, 39-19, waning minutes of the first half. Moses with two nice hook shots in low-post traffic and a put back, but has looked lost defensively on a few occasions.

New Hampton, 49-32, at the half. Moses had eight (?) points, last two on a quick roll off a screen at the elbow, finishing with a slam.

Prince with quick hands - has had a couple deflections and steals - and a couple big blocks here in the second half. Nice pass to an open teammate underneath for a layup. 4-4 FT. NMH fighting back, down 65-56, 8m left

NMH loses, 83-79. Approximate stats for Moses - 16p (including 6-6 FTs), 8r, 2st, 2bl, 2a. Unfortunately, also made a critical TO near end of game that cost NMH an opportunity to tie.

First time I saw him and only in the 2nd half today so could be missing his true talent
Positives He is a big with potential He is long and has a decent touch Athletic enough
Concerns He didnt seem to play with much energy -might have been managing fouls Not very aggressive on either end Frequently Reaches or stabs at the ball when he was around the foul line Not sure about his ability and agility to defend -flat footed bigs without bulk
Overall
We need to recruit another big body and take him on his potential, but he has to make progress between now and August if he is going to help Rabinovich appears to be much better prepared for the next level

I assume 32 is Martindale and 33 is the other guy? Ooops, make that the other way around.

First impressions: crappy basketball played by good players.

Classic Martindale drive there - loves going to his left.
The guards don't get him (or Ogundele, or Rabinovich) enough touches

Quiet half for our guys. Rabinovich with a flagrant foul that put him on the bench for the last eight minutes or so.

WG If i recall correctly you watched Moses play live and i wonder if you saw something different than his performance today?

WG If i recall correctly you watched Moses play live and i wonder if you saw something different than his performance today? Thought your observations were generally accurate. I thought he has looked good in the low post, and rolls very quickly after screening into scoring position. Outside shooting has been poor. I have yet to see him actually box out - very undisciplined at the defensive end. The lack of intensity is a little troubling. Agree Rabinovich is more fundamentally sound and will help more quickly, but I like his athleticism and springiness around the basket

Maybe it's not his nature to play hard but he needs to ratchet it up a whole lot.

Martindale decent afternoon, but Rabinovich didn't show much today - WA wins and advances to the AA finals tomorrow where they will play Wilbraham&Monson, which upset top-seeded Cushing in OT.
W&M's star big man is John Adams, in whom we have showed some interest. Don't know if he's still in the picture somewhere.
