Given his poor play and weak frame this player’s departure is a good thing for the program and we should get out there and find someone better to fill the slot. I would assume he’s looking at D2/3 programs where he has the height to do quite well. This is actually a good manifestation of the transfer portal.
Did we seriously rebuke Rick Pitino? It’s not April 1 yet so tell me that’s not true.

To be accurate I didn't bring up the subject another poster was defending Carmody's late in the cycle recruiting efforts.

Very Busy day on the transfer portal-Chris Herren leaving BC and a host of others in the last hour or so As mentioned in another post, sophomore transfers with two years left (like Herren) would be better for class balancing purposes than frosh transfers with 3 years left (though those are more attractive for the obvious reason of the extra year). Sophomore transfers wind up in Ryan Wade’s class. Freshmen transfers wind up in RJ Johnson’s class. Kind of an odd one. Herren was a PFO and worked his way into a scholarship. No fault of his that he wasn't an ACC-caliber ballplayer. He might do well a level down. And, unless I'm missing something, doesn't come with the baggage his dad came with.

Don’t forget Nate Pine giving Kevin Willard <1 day to make the call after MB was fired, then going with Carmody. It’s hard to imagine making so many bad decisions over the last 10 years. But here we are coming off a 3 win season with a decimated roster for next year.

With regards to going forward, hopefully we have bottomed out and better days are on the horizon.

How close were RW and KW to taking the reigns of the program....Didn't realize Kevin had been offered the job.

I doubt KW has any regrets.

We talk about that here, but was there ever a realistic expectation that Willard would have left Seton Hall to come to HC?

From what I heard...yes. He was in the midst of several problems at the Hall at that time.

Not as bad as Pete Rose. He can't even go into the Hall.😊

Maybe KW was using HC as leverage
