2,000 Points
Ron Perry R Jack Foley Rob Feaster
1,000 Rebounds Tom Heinsohn Togi Palazzi Keith Hochstein
I'll suggest Tom Heinsohn came close to the 2,000 points

Edited On second look there was a tie in one category, so you got 6 of 8, pretty good if betting on your ponies

Potter played 4 varsity years, Hochstein 3. I'm guessing Potter got to 1000 rebounds, IIRC he was a shade under 1800 points.

In addition to playing only 3 seasons, our earlier players also often had shorter schedules, or did not play many post-season games. Here's a quick look at average number of games played per season
1950's= 26 games per season average 1960's= 24 1970's= 28 1980's= 29 1990's= 28 2000's= 31 2010's= 32
Tom Heinsohn played 81 games, Jack The Shot only 77, while Chris Potter played 115 and Keith Simmons 126

IMHO, he deserves a serious look at having his number in the rafters. If Keith played 4 years of varsity ball from the 70’s on, his numbers would be eye popping. Don’t forget, he also missed a chunk of games one of his varsity years with a broken hand.

Well, I loved Keith as a player and person, but Chris Potter deserves to be there first, then Ed Siudut and Keith. Togo agrees.

Three solid candidates for that honor. Think hoops has the order in correct sequence.

Pine was not interested in expanding that hallowed group. Hopefully Blossom will be

I'm a huge Chris Potter fan. Something to be said that I believe all six names currently up there were All Americans

Togo agreed with me.

When you have a secondary subset of that for the creme de la creme, it should be very exclusive in my opinion. It makes a nice event, but it shouldn't be mandatory to expand the ring of honor every year

Unless we have another All American. If All-America is the standard, i doubt that anyone on this board will ever see an additional banner raised. I’ve posted Potter’s resume before, and will gladly post it again. There’s no question in my mind that, absent All-America status, Chris’s banner should be next.

IF a 7th banner is hoisted, it should have Potter's name on it

There definitely should be further banners, and Chris should definitely be the 7th. But let’s not put it up alone. So who should be 8th ? How about the player who has the 3rd highest scoring average AND the 4th highest rebound average( while playing 2 years alongside the 6th highest) and who was chosen in the second round of the NBA draft when there were 14 teams ?
