Have you reached out and communicated with the coach? Hopefully you asked him more insightful questions than the T&G did. T&G dances around the ugly part of the program, so they don’t ask the questions that fans really want the answers to. Sadly I have not been able to connect with Coach Nelson, but the players will do for me as I’m around the same age as most of them. I can say a lot of the incoming guys know how last year went (can’t ignore it) but believe this class will be able to turn this around, and quick. As of now, I’ll just take I’ll believe it when I see it but I hope they can back it up Thanks. The T&G interview doesn't draw it out of him, but Nelson must have gained some humility as well as experience from last season which can only help him be a better coach.

I have talked to a few of them, as well as I’ve talked to some of the guys who have recently transferred (pre-transfer). I will say there is a definite difference in the attitude of the two groups, the incoming guys being much more upbeat and willing/able to have a conversation with me while the now-transferred had much more of a “me myself and I” attitude. I take it you had more than just a quick “how are you” exchange with both groups to come to that conclusion. Based on my interaction with the group that transferred, and brief discussion with a couple of kids from the incoming group, I would agree with gocrossgo regarding attitude and willingness to have a conversation.
Let’s hope the the new kids will bring a”will do attitude” to the classroom and court.

All I can say is - back in 2014, when the small company I was employed with was bought out by an industry giant, and I went from a fair haired boy to a number; someone that had to re-apply for another position I was destined to fail in...….my attitude kinda sucked that summer, that's for sure (and I was 54-55 years old at the time!). I haven't had as much contact with today's players as I had back in Milan's days, but I hadn't noticed any difference, really. Certainly the parents I've met have been just as nice as the stalwarts from prior years. That being said, I am indeed excited about the guys we have coming in. I'm thinking I want to hitch my wagon to Bubba - I just have this feeling he is going to have a major impact at some point.
