When do you think men’s ice hockey season start and will fans be allowed My prediction is the season won't start until after 1/1 and no fans will be allowed all year.

A release of a rushed, likely non-FDA approved vaccine means squat. Same answer applies to your query in every other winter sport thread.

Kind of parroting my response to a similar thread about basketball, it's not just the NCAA we're talking about, but varying state regulations - and MA is tough.
Governor Baker has basically said no arena type gatherings until after a vaccine is out. You can't come close to running a hockey game with 25 people in the building.
Just because the Red Sox got a waiver to exceed the outdoor gathering maximum, doesn't mean each college will. First of all everything we've learned thus far says outside is safer than inside. Secondly MLB and the Red Sox is one waiver for a huge corporation. College hockey would mean a bunch of waivers. I don't see how you let BU exceed the 25 person limit and not let HC do the same, but on the other hand, how do you let HC exceed the limit but not Assumption? If one college can play hockey, then they all should be able to play. Fenway park is easier to monitor safety with their waiver than dozens of college ice rinks

That says very little. Delayed. For how long ? Left up to conferences when to start. Back to square one.
