I was saddened to read on the HC Athletics Homepage that John Vrionis, Class of '68, passed away the other day. I remember him well along with the other end on the offense, R. Peter Kimener, as favorite targets of Jack Lentz and Phil O'Neil. John was also an outstanding Lacrosse player.

He also was a Stepinac grad as that school discussed in another thread. He was a "big brother" to one of my best friends/classmates who also attended Stepinac.

May John's soul, and the souls of all deceased Crusaders, rest in peace

These passings make me feel increasingly old.
Anyone confirm my recall guess his jersey # was 83?

Agree on #82 As these things go that obituary was indeed beautifully composed.

These passings make me feel increasingly old. Anyone confirm my recall guess his jersey # was 83? That was one of my first thoughts as well. The mid sixties when I first got hooked on Holy Cross athletics seem like yesterday in one sense and so very long ago in another.
