When we will know if fans are going to be allowed for basketball season in January Can we be sure that even if the state permits fans, Holy Cross will allow it?

You can't even be sure HC will even play.

You can't even be sure HC will even play. Fr. B may investigate if HC can play games over Zoom.

Fair points all
With things ramping up in MA, basketball could get shut down. On the other hand one reason for optimism for actual games is the ice rink closures in which colleges are exempted. MA might allow colleges to get away with stuff that normal groups aren't.
I'm of the opinion that the entire concept of college basketball in MA is so precarious, that there is basically zero chance fans will be allowed. If there are no fans allowed in outdoor Foxboro when some states allow it, I just don't see fans in Hart. In the remote chance the state permits fans, I agree with SOV that there is a distinct possibility that HC will be cautious and not add an extra variable to the health of the campus.
The best chance for an average fan to see the Cross play in person is at some road venue in a state that is less strict than MA.

You mean like Hamilton NY or Lewisburg PA. I honestly believe I am more likely to see HC play in person at Colgate than I am to see them at Hart

As of yet, the Bills have not been allowed a single fan in a 70,000 seat outdoor venue. I wouldn't count on catching a game at Cotterell in January or February.

I'll say my chances of seeing a game at Cotterell are marginally better than basically zero

Seeing any athletic event in Hamilton, NY is zero for me. Made too many trips and too many disappointing results to want to ever make that trek again.
So, Hart Center may be chances of slim and none but Colgate is none and nada for me.

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE LIMITED TO FAMILIES OF STUDENT-ATHLETES AND COACHES AT GAMPEL PAVILION
STORRS, Conn. – State of Connecticut public health officials have ruled that in-person attendance at Gampel Pavilion will initially be limited to the families of student-athletes and coaches, with each receiving a maximum of four tickets. The visiting team will be allowed the same. Should conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic improve over the course of the 2020-21 basketball season, the directive can be adjusted.
Families of student-athletes and coaches will adhere to public health guidance when attending games, including but not limited to mask-wearing, maintaining a social distance between different parties, and observance of Connecticut's travel advisory policy.

Its time to just forget about the possibility of seeing HC play in person at the Hart Center ir any-like minded PL institution, all of whom are likely to have school COVID policies that are AT LEAST as strict as the states in which theyre located.
Bye bye Stadium, hello ESPN3. Sign up now.

You might not want to sign up for ESPN3 just yet Effective Friday, Massachusetts is rolling back the re-opening and indoor gatherings will be limited to 10 people. When they closed the ice rinks a couple of weeks ago, an exception was made for colleges. Maybe the same will happen for this new order. Rollbacks like this make me less confidant there will be any games at all

I vote for placing it over the shield at midcourt with the stipulation you are wearing your Crusader hat.

I always find these policies of allowing parents into games nuts. There is no way a group of parents from say Florida are going to quarantine for two weeks before attending a game. Very similar to Vermont skiing policy
