It's an HC flag, I thought it was purple

With my tired eyes on Saturday evening, it appeared to be duplicate of the HC flag that was flying in the high above the closed end of the stadium during the game. The color appeared to be black, unless it is a really deep shade of purple, aka, eggplant purple. The Luth complex is indeed massive, I looked at it from several angles while on campus Saturday, and it is impressive. The Luth complex along with the Pryor Performance Center will dramatically change the upper campus. Hope to be around when both are completed and running. There is also the reconstruction of the OFH. The early designs indicate the east wall will be largely glass, so should be a great source of light on a cold winter night. The key to starting work on the OFH is to get all the offices moved up the hill. The new football offices await strength and conditioning moving to its new space (I will speculate that the football coaches new suite is occupied before the start of practice for the 2017 season.)

By the way does the name Luth rhyme with Ruth...or does it rhyme with Rust?

By the way does the name Luth rhyme with Ruth...or does it rhyme with Rust? Maybe we should combine the two--change to the Lust Athletic Complex--might be a good way of attracting more student-athletes???

I wear hearing aids, so I can't be 100% sure but every time I heard it on campus, including the beam signing ceremony, it sounds like Lou-th rhyming with "Ruth."

The basketball arena re-opens today for practice by our men's and women's teams. Big Crusader emblem in the middle of the court, with the Patriot League presented in the paint at both ends. The lobby looks much the same, but with new carpeting and an enhanced presentation of the Varsity Club Hall of Fame awardees. Concessions seem unchanged. The main entry is supposed to be done by the end of the month. For now, we still enter the athletic complex through the back.

Looks good, but I'm not digging the dark brown lane. We ain't Lehigh.
I do like the Massachusetts map at center court as subtle way to answer the question (and promote) Holy Cross, where's that?

I tweeted to NP asking about the MA state silhouette at mid-court... saying we should aspire to be a national brand instead of embracing regional/strictly Massachusetts. His reply seemed to indicate that we do aspire to be a national brand, but want to let people know where HC is. Kind of sad that we have to do it, but it's definitely a necessary evil. We're headed in the right direction.

Then again, anyone who can't figure out that the University of Massachusetts is located in the state of Massachusetts would also likely not know the answer to whose body is in Grant's tomb.

JMO, I'm taking this as HC is Massachusetts's team. But based on the wild comments within the hockey/HE thread, maybe we should have used Worcester's county shield instead
