* Brett said that they still have one more scholarship but he seemed ambivalent whether he would use it. (I count 13 on the current roster). There are 13 players on the roster. However DJ Hart is a walk on so there are only 12 scholarships As I double checked the roster to make sure I didn't forget someone, I have determined that barbershops in CT are stterill closed for COVID. Or at least based on his picture, Joey Reilly has maintained social distance from his barber I noticed that as well. He looks quite different. I see Mike Rabinovich is sporting a beard. Not quite as big as the Gene Doyle look but it does make him look older. Same with Reilly who I think looks a lot older.

AD Bloom responded to a question about that. He said that 1) Both parties would have to want a 5th year. Both parties being players and coaching staff 2) There would have to be an academic reason to stay a 5th year, Specifically adding a double major or a minor that necessitated that 5th year Nothing new there, however I would add it's easier to need that 5th year if you add the double major late in your career. For a freshman, there should be ample time to meet the requirements of both disciplines plus the distribution requirements. A 2nd semester junior might not have enough time left to squeeze in sufficient courses in a newly added discipline in 3 semesters Are not all the seniors in the PL the first to have the covid 5th yr choice grad transfer or extend undergrad major/minor at the pleasure of the coach? Although AD Blossom was talking about HC, I would assume that not just the PL, but every school where a player uses a 5th year of eligibility because of COVID would have to be mutually agreeable to player and coach

Maybe it's a way to intimidate opponents.

If that works...great! If it does not, a quick cut and shave can remove any issue.
