RGS, 50% from 3 point range is like asking HC to win the Patriot League at this point. Unfair, impossible, not likely, and all other sorts of descriptions. The common "top flight" tier of 3pt shooters will be at or just above 40%. To ask a team to do that is probably a tall order, but 50% wouldn't be West Virginia on the 2000s on their best day. I follow, but HC did hit 50% from 3 for the first half. It does depend on how many long range shots are taken. 15 of 30 probably not going to happen. 2 of 4 or 3 of 6 could be in reach. That bar is a a bit high. How does 40% or better sound? 37.5%, final answer Regis.🙂

I follow, but HC did hit 50% from 3 for the first half. . . . That bar is a a bit high. How does 40% or better sound? Very high. Only about ten teams in D1 shooting it that well.
At 35% or so, HC is in the top third of the country when it comes to accuracy, which is good. But we don't take very many, only 30% of total FGA (ranked 305th) - and given our frequent problems scoring inside, maybe heaving up another half dozen or so per game would be helpful.

That would depend on who is launching.

I like the pictures of the Championship teams. I also like Crucis#1 idea of video footage of the history of HC at the Louth. Attachments:

3. hit at least 50% from 3 (50% in the 1st half but only 44% for the game) 44% on 3PT for the season would make us the best three-point shooting team in the country.

I don't have an issue with changing the banners to a Bruins style (although I hope there's something on the banner that says something like 1948-Final Four) The Knicks look of banners for the Atlantic Division is kind of tacky to me.
I was glad HC never bothered to hang a 2014 CollegeInsider.Com banner. It would have been really lame.
Things were a little crowded on the men's side when after hanging the 2016 NCAA banner

Does anyone know the correct pronunciation of Mike Rabs's name? I had thought it was Ra-BIN-ovich, but the announcers were going with Rabi-NO-vich. I sincerely hope our own announcers would know. I reviewed page 5 of the 2020-2021 Fact Book for HC Basketball. The Pronunciation Guide is listed on the bottom of the page. The guide list the correct pronunciation for 4 players. Unfortunately the correct pronunciation for Mike R is not included by C. So much for the pronunciation guide. According to a very reliable source, Louth's last name is actually pronounced Cluh-BAH-Lee (eliding the "oo").
NAD's pronunciation of Mike's last name is correct.

The median team 3FG% in D1 is about 33.5%. We have four guys - Butler, Martindale, Johnson, and Wade - shooting above that.

Yeah, I coached a girl 4 years in CYO with the latter last name, been impossible for me to refer to Mike w/o pronouncing it that way. And, Todd Marinovich is the cherry on top of that.

The average across D1 is 33.6% - so 35% is pretty good (top third) and 37.5% is excellent (top 35 in the nation).
