her husband is the men's coach at UMass Lowell - maybe he joins her staff He's actually the Head Women's Coach at UMass Lowell. I would assume he would follow since they have a young child. A few years ago he was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt so he knows that area well. Vanderbilt was pretty good when he was there so no reason to believe they can't get it back to where the program used to be. So it appears UMass Lowell will now open. How many people going to start the Annie Mac to Lowell chant?

If the BU lady is worthy of a head coaching job at a Power 5 school, so is Ms. Ralph.
Gino's right hand woman is still there and apparently going nowhere (wonder if she'll take over when Gino leaves). I'm sure she's been approached tons of times for good coaching positions.

I doubt anyone questions her worthiness, personally I was a bit surprised by her choice of schools as she certainly has had many opportunities over the years. I'm less surprised after learning of her husband's connection. There has certainly been a great deal of speculation about whether she would retire at the same time as Gino, I think she is in her early 60's

IMO, Chris Dailey will retire with Gino - she's 61 and would have taken a head job long ago if she was interested - after 35 years in Storrs she makes a big salary sitting next to Gino and holding him back from refs on occasion

Geno is currently 67. Dailey is 61.

Dailey only got 250k in 2015 and 268k in 2020. That is NOT big money at all. Tori Verdi (current UMass WBB coach) made $185,000 in 2014-2015 at Eastern Michigan and made 306k at UMass in 2019. dailycampus.com/2020/10/21/uconn-agrees-to-pay-249539-to-settle-gender-based-pay-discrimination-allegations/

He must be her grandfather or something... I'm not that old.🙂 I do respect Ann's career winning record and her winning record at HC, which has become almost an oxymoron at Holy Cross in recent years although turning around soon I sense.

Mr. Garrick is what is known, I believe, as a trailing spouse. I wonder if he will join her staff. Jen Rizzotti had her husband as an assistant at UHart and briefly at GW before he resigned to keep track of their kids!

I believe that the Garrick family includes a daughter around 3/4.

The players can confide in the husband so it doesn't get back to the head coach.

He is also a West Warwick RI native and one of the all time greats in URI basketball history. Once scored 50 points in an A-10 Tournament game versus Rutgers and helped lead the 1988 team to the NCAA Sweet-16. Has been on both URI's men AND women's staff and was its women's head coach. Was a 2nd round pick and played in the NBA for several seasons, mostly with the Clippers.
