Weatherman Willard Scott dies at 87. He was known for personal on-air greetings to fans who reached 100 (including my grandmother). He was a true character. May his soul rest in peace (with blue skies and fair weather).

Yeah, one of my sons told us yesterday and my other son and I simultaneously asked: "was he 100 years old?"

With the exception of two years in the Navy and two from 1972-74, Willard Scott had a paycheck from NBC for his entire adult life.
1955-1972: WRC-AM (NBC owned station in Washington) 1972-1974: WWDC-AM 1975-1980: WRC-TV (NBC owned station in Washington) 1980-2015: Today Show

Thanks first for that thought, but it was my Swiss-American step-grandmother...so no genetic benefits. I am already older than all my biological grandparents. I guess that means I am on borrowed time.
