Absolutely. I'm going to pop a couple of Humera and then drive down to Jersey Mike's and buy a few with extra red wine vinegar.

I’m here at SBU in the sunshine directing their very nice (and pleasantly surprised) fans to the beer lines. And filling them in on our score . LOL. Amazing how they want to talk to a guy in a HC polo.

When was the last win vs. a ranked opponent on the road? Off top of my head, I can only think of beating 10th-ranked Lehigh in 2005.

What a great Saturday!
Was too amped up to post during game as usual.
Looks like the "Is Holy Cross overrated or is Merrimack acutally good?" question has been answered.
Harvard is going to be an opponent and a half next week.

I don't think Lafayette in 2008 was ranked but they were probably close to Top 25. Pujals won at Dartmouth as a frosh in 2013 but I think that was right before the Big Green started to get really good. We blew leads twice at Fordham (2013 and 2015) when they were Top 25 but couldn't hold onto the win in either game. The 2015 game we lost in OT I believe. Zane Wasp had hit a 49yd FG to tie at end of regulation.

Step back a second
Today was a big win A combination of us making them struggle as well as their dropping contested yet catchable passes early in the game.
This might have been their Merrimack game or they aren't as good as others proclaim them
A lot of variables in every game and sport
Our ability to get the ball to playmakers was the key to the game-didnt really happen in our first three games
Btw Dobbs is a monster and our 2/3 LB set is going to be a difference maker
And a nice job today by O and D lines

Given the opponent, being on the road etc...I'd argue that was the best half of HC football since the Carter/Duffner era Absolutely. Reminded of the 1989 game at Dartmouth. It was obvious by half that it was a total mismatch.
That said, everyone expected that in 1989.
Today the Crusaders shocked the FCS Football world.

Not to put the brakes on this happy talk but Monmouth was ranked #20. Weren’t we ranked #24 or so after the UConn game?
We took a tumble due to Merrimack.
This early in the season, how accurate are these polls really?
We had a bad game against Merrimack and as I’ve often use the old saying, “you’re never as good as you think you are but also never as bad as you think you are either.”
I expected this to be a close game but as I posted previously, it appeared that Monmouth prepared for the wrong team and thought all we would do was run. I don’t think they were looking passed us, they were just unprepared for Chesney’s wrinkles and then they made one mistake after another.
That and, most importantly, we played very well with very few mistakes.
Considering they’re the ones with 21 of 22 returning starters, you would have thought we would have made the mistakes. We have a well coached team.

Monmouth is a legit FCS Top 25ish team....different world today....as others have stated, they are a very veteran team, have made some noise in the FCS playoffs the last couple years, had won 19 of their last 20 games on their home field etc...
May have been a dreaded KY75 'trap game" for them....but we were dominant in literally every phase of the game today....it may not have the cachet of an FBS win ovah UConn or a win at Yale but this was was our best overall win as a program in awhile, particularly in the fashion of how we won.

There should be an addendum to that old chestnut, "unless you have a strong head coach who commands the respect of the whole team."

Back home after a great day in the sunshine at Kessler Stadium. I saw the whole game and even stuck around for the post game singing session by the players. What a great turnout of HC fans. Had to be at least 500 Crusader fans there. HC dominated from the get go. Hard to recall a more dominant road win. Siderman looked very poised in the pocket. Onward to Homecoming next week vs. Harvard.
