Virginia scored five points in the final 10:46. Terrific win.
All in all, a nice start for the league with wins against the ACC, MAAC, and CAA.
Bucknell played NC State even for a half before the Wolfpack ran away.
Loyola was semi-competitive with Carolina.

American beats Marist in OT in the Eagles' opener, 77-73. Marist was picked third in the MAAC preseason poll behind Iona and St. Peter's. Eagles led by nine with 2:18 left in regulation before the Red Foxes ended regulation on a 12-3 run to force overtime. And Marist led by four early in OT before AU came back to tie the game at 68 on a huge three by Johnny O'Neil with a minute left. AU then went 7 of 8 from the line in the final minute, including freshman Eli Stephens making 5 of 6, to pull away.

Yale 88 Vassar 42. Too bad Harvard absorbed Radcliffe, would have been a good doubleheader.

DeChellis has rather quietly made Navy a pretty solid program; not missing a beat without Cam Davis.

NE went 11 deep and Pridgen didn’t play. Perhaps he has transferred again?😀 This might be interesting to watch. In 2020-21, all transfers got a free pass to play right away - so we got to see Gates last year. Then the NCAA changed the rules so that you don't have to sit the first time you transfer. I have been curious if last year's COVID exemption would count for a player's one free pass. Not too many examples to get actual data, but Pridgen is one. When he was on the roster, I assumed last year's play right away thing did not count as his one time. This post makes me wonder again. I'd be surprised if it was a coach's decision. I'm guessing he was not available. That begs the question of why he wasn't available

Traditionally many leagues have had additional penalties for intra-league transfers. For example, until recently a patriot league basketball transfer was required to sit out two years. having said that, everything I have read indicates that he is eligible this year. I am guessing that his absence was due to some injury/illness.

Yale 88 Vassar 42. Too bad Harvard absorbed Radcliffe, would have been a good doubleheader. Yale offered to absorb Vassar around that time. Vassar said no. Now they are neither an (active) seven sister like Wellesley, Smith, Mt. Holyoke nor an Ivy League Institution. But they still exist and they wouldn't if they had accepted.
